We're apparently getting a video for Love On Top tomorrow in case it hasn't been mentioned already. Now THAT'S a single I can get on board with.

    BRING THE BEAT IN :disco:

so we're getting a "Live At Roseland" DVD which features the entire concert in full - that's going on the Christmas list :santa:

But we're also getting something called "ELements of 4" which is supposed to be a deluxe edition - I suppose a CD/DVD re-release?

They appear to be Walmart exclusives in America but I hope we get them here.

Even though this campaign has been a bit of a disaster all things considered, I still adore a lot of the album.

I think the album has done what it's sought out to do, she obviously wasn't in 'world domination' mode while recording it. Outside of "End of Time" (which clearly they have just missed the boat on), there aren't really any OBVIOUS hits. It will happily cross the 1 million mark in the US before year's end most likely and it's doing respectively in the UK as well, not bad for her obligatory 'flop' or underperforming album.

And the pregnancy (fake or not :eyes:) is probably the best thing to happen to the campaign, it will put the album out of its misery by the beginning of next year rather than having another two year campaign that they were planning

Is there a reason why Love On Top has suddenly taken off?

The video's been getting quite a lot of airplay (10th most played last week) and it's airplay is really good now, up from 72 to 27 on the airplay chart last week and by the looks of it has taken a huge jump again this week.

it was played at a birthday last week and killed the dancefloor

This album is certified DANCEFLOOR POISON

My most awful moment of the year was when I witnessed the full DANCEFLOOR EVACUATION that Run The World (Girls) caused in the R&B room at Heaven! Even the black queens weren't FEELING IT!

It's not that they don't feel it, maybe it's cause the CHOREO is SO DAMN HARD to learn

The Guardian have - appropriately enough - listed 4 as the fourth best album of 2011.

STICK A FORK IN THIS BITCH :basil:

    AMAZING WRITE UP

I really believe this will become her "classic" album - not her biggest, but one that people go back to and rediscover over time. I mean look at Love On Top - completely at odds with EVERYTHING on the charts at the moment, and with NO promotion it's been in the iTunes Top 20 for the last two weeks!

$100m is small change for Queen B

Besides she will settle out of court for $15m and Fake Baby will still get its Denim by Déréon nursery

It's my 6th favourite album of the year in one of the best years for album in MANY MANY YEARS (for me)

I still think it's her most accomplished.

I really rather like the album - it's cohesive, fun and whilst I'm not the biggest fan of some of the ballads, it's good that she's been a bit more selective than the 200-TRACK MONOLITH that was I Am...

    09 1+1
    07 I Care
    07 I Miss You
08 Best Thing I Never Had

i've literally been agonizing whether to include 4 in the top 50 best albums on my blog
it's currently on 51 so tonight is it's last chance, as it's starting tomorrow

shame, as it'd be there top 20 even if the tracklisting left off some from the original in favour of the bonus :(
