Get rid of 1+1, Haunted and Heaven for a start.

Shove in End of Time and a full version of Crazy in Love.

XO finally clicked for me last night though, and I always have endless love for Get Me Bodied.

So what % of this tour is mimed, guys? I'm gonna say at least 40%

Babe I had tickets for the first London date. Then I had a meeting shoved in my diary in Moscow, so I sold the tickets. Then the meeting was cancelled two days before. So it fucked the whole thing up.

Haunted was the best performance in my opinion.

It was definitely one of the highlights I agree.

As was 1+1. The latter also got one of the biggest cheers of the night, and was one of the biggest singalongs.

I feel that some queens like to hate on Bey because she has surpassed <s>our</s> their diva of choice

Not really. Mariah can't compare in terms of performance of course, although there was NO sign of personality from Bey, whereas anyone with half a brain knows Mimi brings that and THEN SOME!

Why isn't B doing Pretty Hurts on this tour I wonder? Seems like an obvious choice to create a bit of a live moment.

Oh and she made a mistake during XO when I was there so maybe she is human after all.

5:40 she starts the "ooooh" bit too early

I think being a personality artist is fine, and indeed a necessity, when your primary USP has faded away. And as much as I'm prepared to shell out 100 quid to watch Mariah drink splashes on-stage and have an underling mop her brow, it's all a bit niche.

Well that's fine, but I'm interested: do you actually like (what you know of) Beyoncé as a person?

I can't tell if you're being serious or not. Because this comment is really silly.

I don't like Beyonce as a person. I dislike how transparent her ambition is (which she tries to hide with that polished veneer) and I think underneath it all, she's not a very nice person.

BUT, as a performer, she's undeniable. I am by no means a FAN, well, until the most recent album, that is. But what I saw on Thursday was really some next level shizzle. The singing, the dancing, the performance, the presentation of a piece of work was so elevated above any of her contemporaries, above anybody else I've seen live that I felt like she had transitioned - she's not a Gaga, Katy Perry-esque performer, she's a superstar performer.

The show isn't perfect. I can't stand 1+1, the omission of End of Time and the truncation of SO many of her songs, but whoever made the Drowned World comparison was really accurate. It felt like a piece of work that an artist has created for herself - not for mass consumption. And I was TRULY impressed by the entire package.

I LOVE that post Bev, and it's probably what I actually think too when I'm not trying to be a troll in here for attention

I don't care about her as a person. I am literally only interested in Beyoncé as a visual and sonic experience. This sums it up for me.

Who would I rather listen to new music by? Beyoncé
Whose videos would I rather watch? Beyoncé's
Whose concert would I pay more to see? Beyoncé's
Who would I rather watch being interviewed? Mariah (well, if she could stop repeating herself ad nauseum)

exactly! We're talking about The Ms Carter World Tour, not Top 50 celebrity shades in interviews from YouTube or whatever.

It must feel nice to have Mariah's ALL CONQUERING PERSONALITÉ to hide the fact her career hasn't been the same since '97 (aside from that momentary comeback in '05) but it's just not what I look for in a musical act.

(Lou I realise I'm shading you in shading dub but for the purpose of defending Queen Bey please ignore all of the above thanks babes)

funks, from that post you charitably seem not to have a problem accepting I prefer Mariah's personality. So why was my original comment asserting that fact dismissed as 'silly'?

I love her here (let's gloss over her allowing her baby to sing along to sexually suggestive lyrics)

Time to stick a fork into Naughty Girl, Why Don't You Love Me and Baby Boy tho. Toss in End Of Time, Upgrade U, Jealous and Pretty Hurts instead.

Biggest gripe about this: The 'I need to record half the concert on my iPhone/smartphone' spastic were truly out in FULL FORCE.
