She filmed some sort of video production on Friday that is rumored to be her next single, presumably for a new album, called "APPLE PIE". A premiere date of June 21 has been thrown around.

BURNS is believed to be the producer

    why bother?!

at the very least I wish she'd get an image makeover and do something a bit less EXPECTED

I'd say "Make Me" and "Slumber Party" weren't entirely expected Britney singles.

I am not sure people WANT something "unexpected" from Britney at this point.

I will take this moment to reiterate that Britney Jean has been certified GOLD in the States, and "Work Bitch" PLATINUM

Apple Pie is written by The Family (Swedish songwriting time who wrote Eurovision smashes “Heroes”, and “Monsters”)

I’m a BIT more optimistic for this album given Glory most certainly reversed the SLUMP she was in.

I also hope that we get more than two singles - although I do suspect part of that in the case of the last album was Vegas and the setlist because the new songs were generally the weaker part of the show and I suspect they didn’t much fancy trying to work more of them in than they had to.

I'm sick of her getting into tiny knickers with a couple of rhinestones on them. Can we actually get some FASHUN

Britney has built her entire career on titillation. I genuinely don’t think she knows any other way to be, and quite frankly when she only has two brain cells knocking together at her most lucid, I can’t see any significant image change occurring.

It's just wrong that a mentally ill woman is being exploited like this.

I must say I've not actually heard anything on the album apart from the singles, all of which I thought were mostly abysmal.

Which is exactly what’s been going on for years on end. It’s just not nice to watch. I think a TURN might be in order but unfortunately (which autocorrected as “I forgive Amy” :wired:) I think her next one will almost certainly involve DEATH

Poor woman certainly looks dead behind the eyes. Damaged electro album full of revenge songs or GTFO.

Yeah she doesn't seem dead behind the eyes or like she's doing anything against her will. She seems happy and healthy.

She's just not an exciting popstar anymore, at all.

In retrospect, "Slumber Party" was really a bit of a triumph. It just never was going to be more than a #86 hit as I feel like she's only going to have another hit 1) if it's uptempo 2) actually good 3) a lead single, but visually everything works and the song is rather good too (but definitely not the best on the album):

I still think "Do You Wanna Come Over" was the best shot of a hit off the album:

Once again I bought Glory on the strength of good reviews, played it a few times and could now not hum more than 3 tracks from it if my life depended on it.

I liked Man on the Moon at the time, but it has not aged well.

She's a 36 year old mother of 2, whose father controls her money, and whose ex-husband has full custody of her kids

Why is this wreck of a human being releasing albums?

I like her but this smells of exploitation.

I don't really get the exploitation bit? She's still a cash cow and has no ascertainable skills aside from being a pop dolly to gays of a certain age these days and legacy act so why are we blaming her for shitting out an album every few years? It's not like she's ever hinted that she's not enjoyed it since 2004-2005. Regardless of who controls her money, she certainly wouldn't be able to live her lifestyle had she just abandoned her career after the breakdown.

Oh absolutely, I think the narrative has been propagated because gayz love drama. But also I think we all want her to do well, so when she’s pooping out sub-quality albums (though actually we mean sub-Blackout) we have a good way to let her off the hook

She also regained half custody of her kids 3 years ago and is fighting for full custody these days. But some queens are still stuck in 2013.

    Preach J! Some queens

Anyone who follows her on Instagram knows she's fully enjoying life these days. She dances, she sings, she PAINTS. She's off her nuts alright, but she's enjoying life.

Oh and on the subject of the last album, it had a few VERY good tracks but, again, some queens  choose to play deaf.

Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortés), If I'm Dancing and Do You Wanna Come Over are all :disco:/10 moments.

I've actually been inspired by POP!'s looning to revisit this for the first time in 2 years and it does indeed have some very good tracks, namely

Invitation (amazing, should've been the blueprint)
    Slumber Party
    Do You Wanna Come Over?
    Man on the Moon
    Just Luv Me
Change Your Mind (highly sultry :disco:)

If I'm Dancing is simultaneously good and shit. There's a great 10-tracker here. As a whole it's really her best effort since Circus.

    My keepers would be:

    Invitation
    Make Me
    Man On The Moon
    Clumsy
    Do You Wanna Come Over?
    Slumber Party
    Change Your Mind
    If I’m Dancing
    Mood Ring

There’s a bunch of nondescript songs around the midpoint, one of which might be good as well.

But on the whole, there are only two tracks I’d absolutely ditch. And even then I might keep Private Show because it’s so ridiculous.

I must be the only one who doesn't GET "Man On The Moon". I would also ditch "Private Show", "What You Need" and "Liar". Pretty much everything else on the album is high quality and the 'queens stuck in 2013' should GET WITH THE PROGRAM.
