I hope this is an intentionally distorted audio, otherwise I'm not liking the Alvin and the Chipmunks vibe this is giving me.

Oh I expect it is yeah. Like the sound of the chorus a lot. Very understated for a Britney Jean lead single

Yeah, that chorus sounds good indeed. Let's wait and see what the HQ version sounds like.

Have they given any official premiere dates?
I quite like what I hear so far.

Nothing official but it's looking now like it'll premiere nearer to the VMA's when (I think) she's due to perform it.

That said, if it leaks beforehand, the video was shot so long ago now that it must be ready to release if they need to hurry it out earlier.

Some US radio stations have announced they'll be playing it from midnight tonight.

Nice. I'm drooling for this like the vegetable herself being spoon-fed her morning cheese grits.

It's certainly better than Pretty Girls. I'll reserve my judgement for the whole thing though.

I think that's really good, and pretty unexpected considering her lead singles are usually massive uptempos

I really like it on first listen. It sounds quite radio ready. However has she been taking singing lessons from Sia? I can't hear a thing she sings.

Lol. Is she settling for Tinashe's leftovers now? Her voice is still totally unbearable to me.

Despite being quite obviously on-trend I think there's quite a lot of JANET in this one.

A good thing, that is. 8/10 on first play.

Underwhelmed on first listen, sounds like an ALBUM TRACK from her FIRST ALBUM. Although that in itself is quite refreshing and unexpected, at this stage I guess.

    It's alright I guess.
At least it's not offensive like other releases of hers.

Oh it's much better than Pretty Girls. Very Janet.

I do like it, hope it should get some decent airplay in the US.

Fingers crossed though the album is launched with a banger follow up/proper lead single in October. Or is the album out very soon?

If people are saying this is her JANFT era then she'd better start flopping in an appropriately fashion :)

2 days on and only two people have rated it?

Do people just not give a shit about listening to her any more, or are they just reluctant to give it a poor mark?

I'm giving it a few more days.

I do like it, it's understated for a Britney first single and she doesn't sound that bad on it at all.

The "You're the spark that won't go out..." bits are great. I just worry that it's a bit of an in-one-ear-and-out-the-other track.

I think it's great. Reminds me a lot of #BEAUTIFUL and I think it will be a top 15 hit in the US which is probably the best Brit can hope for these days.

I like it, but don't love it, but respect what it's trying to do.

Uptempo dance-pop is clearly what she does best, but that wouldn't have got any people's attention, and god knows we don't need another "Pretty Girls"-esque faux-"urban" pop romp. So I agree this is something to get radio warmed up to her, because her last legitimate radio hit ("Scream and Shout" aside) was FIVE YEARS AGO. Let this have a moderately successful, but lingering, chart run and drop the album's best uptempo to coincide with the album early Fall.
