I thought people liked her here?
Anyway this is out on Friday
what RUBBISH artwork
I've only just started to branch out from Cut to the Feeling, and now that I'm officially a "cutter" I cannot wait for this.
Oh I think it is winningly pathetic.
It is obviously too early, but still so excited for this. I trust she will pitch it right.
I have voted 10 because I have faith in our Carly
She hasn’t been good for ages though
but that's not true though is it beb
OK this is LUDICROUSLY early. Boycotting till (sic) December.
She is sooo overrated.
She holds her own songs back. Imagine if someone who had stage presence was given a shot with them.
This thread is making be feel the same way that @Eddie must feel when someone else criticises Kylie
Case point: Run Away With Me where people have no idea who she is and either laugh at her or just gawk as if looking at roadkill.
If I didn’t love a bit of CARLY myself I would totally get my own back.
But really it’s just YOU THAT GET’S MY GOAT @ZenGiraffe
That's a bit rude. I behaved myself at the last sync listen!
I will admit to being baffled by her status as a pop icon but there are a handful of decent singles in her back cat.
well, she's certainly no Now United
Oh this is going to get ugly.
omg finally someone had to say it
There was plenty to enjoy from her last album, and the collection of off-cuts that followed. I don't think GAY ZEALOTRY over Carly Rae Jepsen has been a thing for about four years, so this backlash seems UNNECESSARY and ILL-TIMED.
I look forward to listening to her new Xmas song (but not for a month and a bit at least).
Cute I suppose but not exactly the direction I was hoping for.
Is this the music industry's official Christmas material release week? Tegan and Sara, Liam Payne, the Trainor album... Keep it for a month.
She's so hit-and-miss. This is another miss.
I’m not really fussed but my E•MO•TION historic FIFTH ANNIVERSARY tee came this week and it’s lovely.
I kind of understand if they have a Christmas album to push and need to build the momentum but what on EARTH is the point in putting a stand-alone festive single out in fucking OCTOBER?
Anyway this is shit.
all of these girls LOSING IT over an October release date as if you can throw out a new Christmas song on 10th December and it'll be on EVERY PLAYLIST by the WEEK OF yes, that's exactly how it works!
Well, except by people who actually buy or stream music.
Dolly released hers four weeks ago. Carrie Underwood five weeks ago.
Yeah, she’s such a mega seller and streaming force.
I buy every note of music I own. I bought one album of hers based on all the hype. It was deeply mediocre.
My point exactly. Who rates her at all, other than a tiny number of internet gays?
I think you're making the same point as lolly!
Hmm, quite a lot I think. Someone on some hip blog or podcast or Pitchfork(*spit*) decided she was cool, and since then I see a hell of a lot of “She’s the saviour of pop” articles and comments. I’m in a couple of FB music groups, made up of mostly straight males and she regularly pops up high on their lists. She seems to be “the pop girl it’s ok to like” if you’re a “music head”. Oh well.
I've seen a lot as well. But nobody is actually BITING.
agree with this and I don't like it one bit
