    sounds very safe to me

it also sounds like music Paul Oakenfold was producing 10 years ago, so I'm not quite sure why he thinks it's futuristic sounding

The spoken word bit is cringeworthy

On the plus side, and I don't know whether it was intentional, but it contains elements of dance music from the 80s, 90s, and noughties, which I think is quite cool given the scenario

but on the whole, sorry not impressed. Gai hi-energi nonsense :(

I think we're all a little shocked that Madonna decided to go down this route

Naturally I think its a 10/10 moment, even though its certainly not my favourite, nor her best song. I ADORE the fantastic spoken word section, but it does sound dated, which is odd for a Madonna song. But for sheer fun value it has to be a 10, if I'm being 100% honest it would be about 9.5.

Well i fucking love it. The intro sounds well dated/unremarkable and at first i was worried, but the rest (verses and bridge especially) are fucking fabulous to these ears. I like the dead pan drawl of the chorus when coupled with the bouncy backing track. Also i hope the line 'i guess you don't recognise me with clothes on' is a sign that her Eye of Sauron is is now going to be covered up for ever more.

From two listens this could easily be my favourite thing she's done in years.

Is it Paul Oakenfold doing it? His productions on the whole have been a bit rubbish imo. Never liked Not Over Yet, the Big Brother theme!, his last album was an exercise in beige... the good stuff on Perfecto was thanks to wonderous people like BT or Sasha. RANT RANT RANT.

Was it Paul Oakenfold who did that 'Tell Me Why' song with Saint Etienne about eight years ago?

I really like it. It's not going to change the world but it's perfect for a Greatest Hits release. Really good fun, something to dance to.

It's NOT as good as Evacuate The Dancefloor though! Much better than shitty old embarrassing Four Minutes.

If Madonna had released it, and Cascada had released '4 Minutes' or 'Celebration' you'd all be singing a different tune.

It's 200 times better than "4 Minutes" which was just as generic if not even MORE so..

Isnt the whole point of the song about namechecking her old hits and the music that she has done over the last 25 years. Its nto supposed to be anything groundbreaking or owt.

I can see this being a satisfatcory sized hit.

I love how when she does something mainstream everyone goes, "Oh it's not original, it won't change the world" and when she DOES do something more experimental everyone goes "Oh just stick to POP MUSIC Madonna don't be so pretentious".

In essence, I love that she does what she does and doesn't give a fuck what people think or expect.

    LOON UP LOON UP

There was an article in the Belfast Telegraph today about a guy who wrote this song or something, but it said ''It is expected to go to #1, as is the album which is out in September'', I like their optimism.
