This song overflows with emotion, and I love how desperate the sentiment is.

I love a bit of Celine but I was a bit disappointed in this. Didn't even bother with the album.

Eww. The Kara DioGuardi version is better I think! Anyway, this involves that CUNT Dave Stewart and was immortalised by a bad sounding X Factor perf to rival Mariah.

    ARE YOU READY?

*3 minutes of Celine being Celine*

    WHAT NEXT?

I didn't bother with the album either, but will get around to it eventually. I've just watched her on the X-Factor. It's too bad Dermot cuts her off as she was just hitting her stride going through all the contestants.

It's not QUITE 10/10 worthy, she certainly has had many better moments but it really is very good. I love the video though, I NEVER GOT IT but it looks really good.

It's an absolute fucking TOUR DE FORCE. Simply amazing. I love how it starts out all tender and quiet and by the end Céline has actually ripped you a new arsehole.

I actually really really liked it. Easily her best single since I'm Alive. What better time wheel out this little gem:

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OwXKHnE7F7o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

"She can sing AND she can talk!" what a bastard.

The Richter scale moment at 3:25 in the original video is something else, it's too bad she dodged in on the X-Factor. Yes she hit two very dodgy notes before this moment came up, but it was still a nice performance if not earth-shattering. And yes, Dermot is a cunt - Celine is professional as always of course, but you can see she's not impressed and didn't deserve that.

I still think this is great. The album's not worth bothering with though.

I was hoping people would say the album had some corkers in it.

The video really is something else: half her body weight in make-up and STILL looking like she hasn't slept since 1995. Granted, in some shots she looks lovely, but others are quite telling.

I think my favourite hilarious Celine moment is in 'Alone' from that album, where you think the second chorus is about to come in and the music starts as if the chorus is starting, but she doesn't sing and then she just FLIPS OUT with an 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHUGH!' - it comes from nowhere when you first listen to it :D From about 1:35 (but you have to listen to the whole thing for FULL EFFECT)

I think she sounds quite bad on it, but hearing Lea Michele's version made me realise that the song in itself can actually be quite good.

    So a 5.

I knew/hoped you were going to bring this up! :D

It's the fact that it's on an OFFBEAT that gets me. It's like she had a spazzy few seconds and completely forgot what song she was actually recording. It's great! :D

The "WAAAAARGH!" is in the Heart original too in fairness, but Celine's is certainly more HAM FISTED.

OH! I hadn't realised that - they're timed differently though, I think Heart's makes more sense when it's placed :D

I bought of Celines albums on That's Entertainment for about a quid each a couple of months ago. I'm going to have a big old Celine marathon after my Garbage marathon. :disco:

    What magnificent contrast. :D

God isn't it a crime that Celine never got to do a bond theme? :D

She must do one soon surely? She's due a BIG comeback any day now. I miss that bonkers lady. I still watch the "Celine Dion is fucking amazing" video on youtube quite often. :D

I'd rank it 3rd out of her English albums actually, not that that's a particularly high accolade given most of them are very patchy. Shadow Of Love is really very good.

New album out in October apparently, mix of covers and new stuff.

Wonder who is doing the Bond theme this year

Rumoured to be Adele, isn't it? She said she'd have a new song out by the end of the year, presumably for Bond.

It's great, but I prefer the slightly more low-level insanity displayed in this video clip

This is one of my favourite Celine videos, it's not quite as manic as her interviews, but her speaking voice mid song is absolutely RIDICULOUS

It's fine but hardly a DION CLASSIC. The whole thing feels a little too by rote and certainly lacks that special spark.

It's not terrible by her standards, though less than amazing. "Eyes On Me" is the absolutely standout for me and totally worth more than a solitary spin.
