I may be misreading, but it looks like you can get a package with the English and French versions together.

Doesn't Matter is so, so good - both versions. After a couple of listens it feels up there with the very best of the first album(s).

The Amazon listing of the album says it is two discs but doesn't have a tracklisting up yet.

    7. Damn (what must a woman do)
    8. What's - her

    10. Make some sense
    11. The stranger

    The cover is bloody awful.

And the 2CD set will do me just fine.

Is the box set the one to go for then? I wasn’t sure if that was just the standard vinyls in a pretty box.

Looks like it - the two 2LP sets and the 2 CDs but with alternate artwork or something. Just a lot of extra ink and paper really.

I only had one run through, but didn't really like any of them other than the one that sounded a bit like an old fashioned extended version, which I think was the Dâm-Funk Re-Freak.

Doesn't Matter is probably my favourite single right now. I liked Girlfriend but was slightly underwhelmed, this is a huge improvement.

5 Dollars is good. Girlfriend definitely the weakest one so far.

Doesn't Matter is just glorious though and gets better and better every time I hear it.

I think I'd rank them exactly the same. Really quite excited for the album now.

So is she transitioning and I've missed the memo again?

I'm not sure if this has actually been established.

No? What makes you think that? I thought she was non-binary for a while but I think she just likes to play with masculinity in her performance. She always has, but perhaps it is more evident now she has cut her hair.

I mean, I think she holds a considerable appeal to the queers in general.

    Anyone else nab this?

On first listen, it's pretty damn good - sleek, funky sound but still has those alluring melodies throughout. Needs a few more spins and isn't as immediately gripping or as varied as the debut but that's not necessarily a problem.

I've not commented yet because I gave it one listen and wasn't particularly impressed. But they weren't ideal listening circumstances, so I decided to hold judgement until I can do it justice.

So based on the 5 star and 10/10 reviews I've listened to both the English and French versions of the album (only about 5 or 6 times admittedly) and I'm still only hearing a 5/10 record personally.

I still don't feel like I've listened enough to be able to form an opinion. But whatever, the fact that I don't want to must speak volumes.

Yeah I gave it a few listens at the weekend and it was entirely pleasant, but I've felt no desire to go back to it subsequently.

Although I've pretty much just been binging on the Cher ABBA album all week so it's possible my critical faculties aren't at their highest at the moment.
