Is she still Christine? I've seen some Instagram pics where the 'ine' has been scribbled out and wondered where she was going with it.

Either way, beyond ready for her return.

Same, gimme that new album now.

Yes, "tine and the Queens" has been crossed out on tour posters and her website. Surely she's not just called "Chris" now?

Me and my Mum were drunkenly threatening to go to LA to watch her on her upcoming tour.

I like (but at this stage at least not love) it, but it's a little more MOR than I imagined.

I am getting pleasing reminders of Dusty's Reputation though, which can only be a good thing :disco:

Oh it is very Shura. I prefer the French version, the English verses are a bit clunky.

She looks like Jonathan Groff in that picture.

Girlfriend is okay but I was expecting more - particularly since I would say at this POINT TIME that Chaleur Humaine is in my all time top 100 albums.

Great video. Great song. I can't understand a word she's saying.

I was hoping for something a bit more alien and electronic. I guess by "sweaty", she meant 80's disco. It's okay but, y'know.

Video is nice but song is just okay. I was hoping for more considering the debut is probably one of my top 100 albums at this point time

This is exactly how I feel. It's nice, alright, but I can't get that excited about it.

It's good. The obvious Michael Jackson and Prince references work well but I was hoping for something a bit more exciting. I hope she's saving the more inventive stuff for the album.

Yep, only act I really liked from the radio 1 stuff. Beck was good from the Radio 6 one.

See if you can find the lot. I'd probably sleep with the entire troupe, a raft of beautifully androgynous people who can dance. Swoon.

The male dancer all in denim does look like a gay porn star, but I can't recall his name.

Slightly disappointed she hasn't kept the same four dancers she had through the Chaleur Humaine promo. I'd have happily had a go on all of them.

I'm getting a SOUPÇON of Rafael Carreras as well.

Right, now I'm going for a lie down to think about that three way.

Pretty wonderful. I hope this new album succeeds. It feels like she is very necessary as a pop star right now.

I think she's probably one of the most important pop stars out there at the moment. The fact that she's hopefully going to continue bringing the tunes makes her pretty damn essential.

Jools Holland perf last night. She only did this one, but hopefully there will be another on the unabridged version later in the week.

I'll need to watch that - partly for this but also because Twitter tells me the new James song was fabulous and they fucked up "Sit Down"...

I didn't pay attention too much. Tim Booth frightens me these days. If ever a pop star looked like a serial killer..

Great performance on Jools. Has given it an itunes boost as well.

James did, indeed, fuck up Sit Down. You could tell that Tim Booth was very unhappy about having to play it. For this series of Jools, they seem to be making the headliner play a 'hit' at the end - Manics played A Design For Life, Snow Patrol played Chasing Cars. It's probably an attempt to bring the more casual viewer back.

He was saying on Twitter that "Later..." basically tell you what you're playing. The last time they were on they refused to play Sit Down and compromised on She's A Star. The trade-off this time was that they get to play three new songs on the main show.
