The somewhat painful long roll out continues:

The original is very dreary and not especially Christmassy bar a few bells, but the remix strangely has different lyrics and a little more life.

Her tour started tonight and she’s only gone and thrown in #10 H & Claire smash hit All Out Of Love.

It’s not like she has a lot more HITZ to choose from...

I imagined she would stick to mainly ballad versions of half a dozen or so Steps numbers and a cover of two for some familiarity. Presumably All Out Of Love has been slowed down anyway.

She threw in an acoustic take on Deeper Shade Of Blue for good measure.

The new album tracks are amazing BTW. There’s a great uptempo one which is the next single.

I'm just back from the show too, it was great - funnily enough All Out Of Love probably got one of the best reactions. She did a cover of a Shaun Mendes song and one from A Star Is Born and then River Deep Mountain High, 'the Celine version, of course' for the encore. She was rather nervous at the start but soon settled in.

I'm not sure what she is finding quite so funny. Has her miming always been so atrocious?

Anyway the song is quite enjoyable (though not so good that I would rather it had been kept for Steps) and will break up the ballads and empowering mid tempo numbers on the album.

Claire really is a less sexy version of Louise with a much better voice. This is fine but a bit bland and she just cannot carry it off as a solo artist. It’s nice she’s getting her shot at it but she’s better in a group.

The last time I purposely thought “Oh I’ll wait to buy that when it’s inevitably in a bargain bin” was Steps’ “Light Up The World” which, sure enough, turned up for 49p, got played once and never since.

    Claire has just changed that.

So the total number of WORLDWIDE Spotify plays (not just UK) that Shame On You got in it's first week is.... 10,343.

That's just fucking embarrassing. How on earth does she still have a record deal?

And with SONY as well! Honestly they might as well just give it up now and give the candles to orphans

Incidentally I didn’t know before now that she apparently made unpleasant remarks about asylum seekers in 2000. What a fucking charmer! I bet she voted LEAVE

She’s always come across as not very nice. She can wear all the mumsy frocks in the world but she’ll still come across as spiteful and cold and JOE PUBLIC IS NO FOOL

Just give us another Steps album FFS. Is that actually happening?

Faye, obviously is the nice one of the bunch. She just came across so well on Strictly. Lisa is just, well, Lisa. Harmless enough but that desperation still seeps through. Lee is phoning it in for the money. H is a pain in the arse, always has been and always will be. Claire is just miserable. The amount of times I have seen Claire arguing with someone on Twitter, or moaning about something.

I suppose at this point they might as well release the music they’ve recorded with her?

I mean, unless they save the songs for a Kym Marsh return I’m not really sure there’s a home for them to go to.
