I had Escape in the 90s. I think that may have been one I bought on my first trip to the US, before it was released here. I recall it being quite light though. I'm thinking of something a lot earthier.

I recently got samples of Pure XS and Pure XS Night. The original is ok but I haven't tried Night yet, I may have to douse myself in it tomorrow.

I also got a sample of 1 Million Prive, which sweet and spicy (heavy on the sweet).

Looking at that fragrantica website though, I see it has D&G L'Amoureux on it. I thought they discontinued their numbered series a good few years back. That one does something to me. I used to request Mr L wear it specifically :D

I think you can get them sometimes if you actually buy things from shops but I get most of mine from ebay, either as the little card samples or decants.

A few quid a go but you get to wear properly a few times and it takes the risk out of blind buying (though that can be a thrill too).

I own no perfume at all, it doesn't agree with me. My eyes water, I sneeze then my nose blocks up and my breath starts catching. Other people's sets me off too so the girls in the office don't wear any strong-smelling perfume. Mr F will wear aftershave but has to put it on at least an hour before getting in the car with me.

    Him, his fragrances, or both?

I love Neroli Portofino. Although I've never justified buying it. Acqua Di Parma's Arancia Di Capri is pretty similar though, for a third of the price.

JUST IN CASE any of you queens want to stock up on CDG fragrances, there is 20% off on https://www.hervia.com/ with the code HERVIA20 at the moment - which means Avignon is a shade over £50 instead of the usual £65! :disco:

@Eddie thanks to your postings in this thread, you've now got me obsessed with Lalique. Encre Noire is a savage. I've since bought that, the sport version, Lalique White, Pour Homme and L'Insoumis. If Allbeauty did loyalty points, I'd be quids in :D

I recently bought some CdG Kyoto, which is LOVELY if a little FLORAL for me as I generally prefer DARK, DANK and DIRTY!

Unlike Avignon, and The Cranberries, it doesn't seem to LINGER for very long on the skin either.
Not a bad buy, but probably not a repeat for me.

I think it was actually @Zu-Klara who FIRST brought it up in this thread, long before I got involved with some hot SCENT CHAT!
