That MAY BE SO, but Encre Noire is possibly the most economical PARFUM on the market considering my dark and dirty scent taste :D

Bvlgari Black is around the same price if not cheaper I think.

How the fuck is one supposed to pronounce BVLGARI? Is the V a stylised U?

According to my friends at Fragrantica, Bvlgari Black smells like some stinking sweaty old t-shirt which you’ve put in the wash and it comes out smelling more or less the same with an additional note of EAU DE PERSIL

    I’M SOLD

SAME! Added to my ever-expanding SCENT LIST :D

Fragrantica really is one of the greatest sites known to man. The CREATIVE WRITING OUTLET it provides for so many devoted sniffers :disco:

@Zu-Klara I have two recommendations for you: Muscs Koublai Khan (Serge Lutens) and Cologne Pour Le Soir (MFK)

The first is legendary - I’ve only tried samples but I have the second and I very rarely have the nerve to wear it.

Recommend me something that smells like rose but still dark and masculine.

I’ve talked to the EAUX TAROT and am informed that this is “very @RaspberrySwirl”

It still looks like shit and I bet it smells like it too.

I want something that would make people turn their heads (or inhale deeply) or whatever

Rose 31 (Le Labo) Rose with pepper
Portrait Of A Lady (Frederic Malle) Don’t be deceived by the title - PROBABLY the greatest fragrance EVER
    Black Aoud (Montale) Oudy rose
La Fille de Berlin (Serge Lutens) Beautiful and surprisingly masculine - inspired by Marlene Dietrich

Labo’s Rose I know and love but I feel it’s a bit too femme. The rest I’ll check out.

La Fille de Berlin and Portrait of a Lady sounds just like what I should be wearing at nights and days respectively. :disco:

Pour Le Soir sometimes smells like I’ve been rear ended by a bull in a barn.

    DELICIOUS :disco:

I’ve been quite tempted by Geranium pour Monsieur as I love the smell of geranium but it’s been mentioned to me that some people think it (geranium) stinks of piss and obviously I can wear that fragrance for NOUGHT PENCE

I think Rose 31 is quite masculine actually. If you don’t like it, I’m not sure you’ll like any of the others. Perhaps you need rose as a top note instead.

If you want ROSE 101 go for Une Rose by Frederic Malle.

Probably suitable for more occasions than CdG’s UNDERAGE BOY REAR ENDED BY A PRIEST IN A CHURCH IN KRAKÓW Avignon, which I love but it’s very hard to find the right occasion or indeed CLOTHES

ARE YOU CALLING ME A PERVERT :tongueout:

Have just ordered travel size samples of Cologne Pour Le Soir and Geranium Pour Monsieur and, rather impetuously (given that I’m doing hardly any freelance work at the minute), a whole bottle of Avignon. I’ll wear it at home and tit myself up

    OMG.

Please let me know before you even lift the lid on your Pour Le Sour sample. I have to witness this for myself (on moopy of course).

@Zu-Klara HOLD UP. Cancel your order!

It is Absolue Pour Le Soir that I own. I didn't realise MFK came out with a different version. I fear it is tamer than the one I have.

And I just bought another one. The Perfume Shop had the new Hugo Reversed 125ml reduced to half prices for members and I couldn't resist.

Oh @Eddie! The EAU HORREUR! I’ve just been advised that they can’t change the order from Cologne to Absolue as they don’t have the latter in stock. However, without prompt or fun, appropriate chat about how I wanted to smell like I’ve been rear ended by a bull in a barn, the person I spoke to described Cologne as “animalistic” so I suspect all is not lost
