Would the way they measure deaths from Coronavirus now make a big impact on the numbers?

I always used to say he was a talentless monkey who got lucky due to having the right brother, but while that MAY STILL BE TRUE he is clearly a decent sort whereas Noel is a fucking Tory CUNT.

    Anyway, OT. Soz :)

That is a very interesting read @Beryl. I am by no means a follower and this is genuinely bucking the trend for me BUT I genuinely care that if I catch it I do NOT want to spread it on to anyone else. I really do wish the Conspiracy theorists would just SHUT UP and do as they are TOLD.

As Isaid in yesterday's daily thread, the attitude of some people using the services of an electrolysis clinic has been utterly despicable. But this is 10 years of Tory rule, of persuading people not to care about anyone other than themselves...now we have a genuine community crisis, people will believe any old shit in an attempt to exculpate themselves.

Love that Newcastle have cancelled concerts by Jack Savoretti and Declan McKenna but Chase & Status is still going ahead. Because that will be a sedate, sober affair.

I feel like we’ve moved away from science and into government lately and that’s not going to help convince people to behave

the other problem you have is that no matter rules you try to enforce, the people who you need to restrict are the ones who don’t pay attention anyway, because it’s all a scam and covid was created by lizard people who eat babies and have sex with children and sell them to Hilary Clinton. So there’s that.

This feels like Scotland, at least, is being buttered up for another national lockdown. She made some hints in the chamber earlier as well.

I think so too. It was mentioned today that the R number is around 1.4 at the moment. Cases are rising in the Lothians and they're not sure why as there have been no identifiable clusters except for Napier University's student flats.

How soon do we think a potential proper lockdown would happen again?

I honestly dont think people would adhere to another lockdown. I dont see much support or respect for Boris and the way this going.

I go into Manchester one day a week to work, so I see the difference on a week by week basis, rather than just a gradual daily effect. Its getting busier and busier very quickly. People are just getting back into ‘normality’ - they will lose their shit if they have to change again.

Whitty is pushing for a short lockdown to pull the number of cases down. I am not sure I would be averse to it, to be honest.

In Tetris-Rock news, one of my flatmates has been told to self-isolate because one of their clients has suspected COVID. Thankfully they can get a test because they’re a key worker - otherwise all of us would have been in the house for two weeks and same again any time it happened subsequently.

Both uni’s have moved back this week (I think!) so expect next week to be PACKED

I’ve seen the change as well since I’ve been back the past few weeks. People are a lot more complacent with wearing masks/social distancing than back in Derbyshire too.

I wonder if any studies would show a difference between Scotland and England on adherence, I'd hypothesise that Scotland would do better because we seem to really trust Nicola.

Yep. Its my 30th birthday tomorrow which has all just been cancelled because as of midnight we can't see anyone :( Going to get fucking hammered with my bubble though.

The situation here scares me. Theres parts of the North East where I know they simply WILL NOT adhere to these rules. Especially places like Sunderland etc.

    FUCK YOU CORONA!

Well, instead of going up to see my father in law in co. Durham, we are bringing him to Yorkshire where its still allowed to be in a group of six. Seems sensible.

I know this isn’t just about it me, but this could really fuck things over for me if it happens in the next few days

I’m moving all my shit on Saturday this week in to storage. How will I do that if we are in a bloody lockdown situation? :D I will literally have no where to put my stuff if the bloody storage unit is closed.

Please Nicola, don’t act until Wednesday hun, when I’m leaving the country. K thanks bye x

We'll probably peak with our second wave around November. And then have 3-4 calmer months and then start again around April.

    SO... WHO THE FUCK KNOWS!
