How do you top that weekend of sport? Will we ever again? Not an awful lot going on today medal wise, either.

Team GB are in the men's doubles Badminton quarter final and Kerri-Ann Payne is in the swimming marathon, she's always a contender. Mark Cavendish seems to be in contention for at least a bronze.

I'm in danger of getting a bit spoiled with all these medals. If we only bagged a silver and bronze today I don't know how I'd manage.

I say well done to Louis Smith being unsportsmanlike - you want something more than ever and you don't get it? I'd be a bit of a dick too.

I'm a bit surprised at some of the comments about Louis Smith. If he'd finished silver to anyone other than a Brit, I'm sure he wouldn't be attracting them. To us it's all Team GB, but that's not to say individual athletes shouldn't have personal aspirations, is it?

Definitely. But morons on Twitter probably think he became a gymnast after doing strictly. No idea what he did for GB gymnastics in Beijing getting the bronze and how he lost out on Gold in London despite posting the same score as the winner. Why wouldn't he be gutted he missed out on another Gold even if it is to a teammate.

There was a great little impromptu interview with Mark Cavendish in the Velodrome just now. I don't think they were expecting him to ride by and speak candidly. I'd never heard him say anything before. I like him.

I don't think anyone is saying Louis shouldn't be gutted. But he should have gone straight over and shook hands with Max. A quick gesture and then he could sulk for the rest of the day.

The GB boys in badminton were brilliant! Really excited for them!

A bronze in the women's hammer. I didn't realise we had any burly throwing women.

Ooh she's not even that burly. I wouldn't kick her out of bed. I'm not sure I'd be strong enough to, mind.

It's almost hard to believe that this sort of response doesn't encourage more young girls to take up sport.

YAY Sophie! Still relatively young for the hammer and twice fourth in the last two Championships (so not the surprise everyone in the studio was banging on about- idiots), I thought she'd have the same problem again, but that last throw was CLASS! I almost put money on her to medal at 23/2 but I didn't think it was a sure bet enough to make it worth my while.

If anyone does want a GB athletics betting tip, it's Eilidh Doyle (was Child) in the 400 Hurdles. Lots of places have her at 16-1 and although she isn't the favourite by a LONG CHALK, Hejnova (the defending champion) has been injured all season, Janieve Russell only got a last minute fitness approval from the Jamaican team and hasn't raced since early season and that leaves a couple of Americans- and there's always ONE of those who peaks for the trials and then bombs out spectacularly at the games.

Wooo, gold medal position. Now we just need a Billie Jean routine with a moonwalk to beat that.

    GOLD!

The Spanish Bon Jovi routine went down very well with the crowd, not so much with the judges.

Indeed. I often wonder if we're the only country in the world that does such a sport.

Any more medal hopes this evening?

As far as I can tell, just Cavendish in the omnium, and a chance of a bronze in the laser class.

OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALLIST and Attitude cover boy Jack Laugher is diving again imminently, in qualifications for the solo diving competition that is the other one from the one that TWO TIME OLYMPIC BRONZE MEDALLIST Tom Daley does.

Very good beam final. I liked the style of the routine that the Dutch woman performed.

This is like a videogame. How brilliant. Hopefully future tech will mean we'll see those graphics in live events soon :disco:
