Let's not give in to NBC's weird timezone - it's clearly Wednesday already.

Savannah Marshall in the QFs today. She's up against someone who got a bye in the first round, so clearly higher ranked. She'll probably lose.

I tend to avoid becoming a gay cliché and comment on people's looks and physiques as I'm a SERIOUS sports fan you know but hello Mark Dry, UK hammer thrower.

I did enjoy the Daily Mash headline of 'nation reassured Brexit will be HUGE SUCCESS thanks to Britain being QUITE GOOD AT THE POMMEL HORSE'

How did the cybernats take him using the Union Jack and not the Saltire? The concept of the Scolympics was dealt some realism here, although an English swimmer was in the relay team that picked up a silver, putting Scotland at #47.

Is Lochte trying to cover up a sordid gay love affair with a Brazilian from the favelas with all his lies about the robbery that never happened?

Apparently this has caused a race storm in the US

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This is how I’m running errands from now on. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rio2016?src=hash">#Rio2016</a> <a href="https://t.co/gYPtG9T1ao">pic.twitter.com/gYPtG9T1ao</a></p>&mdash; Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheEllenShow/status/765303894159208448">August 15, 2016</a></blockquote>

Just imagine if she'd been sat on the back of Laura Trott's bike.

Not yet, but the women's sailing are guaranteed a medal whenever their final event gets underway.

Tough. We probably won't win squat today.

Maybe an outside chance in the women's 200m?

Actually a massive outside chance according to the bookies.

    Nothing for us.

What a rubbish day. Is the highlight really a woman's hockey match?

A women's hockey match with Britishers in it. It could be worse.

Golds in lesbian hockey and lesbian boxing would be just the ticket to wind down this fantastic tournament.

I heard a rumour that there are actually some female athletes that aren't lesbians.

Wow, that's really problematic. Anyone who overlooks the dialectic regarding power differentials is [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]. Deleted, blocked and fired into the sun

Loved the BMX stuff. All 4 runs until the Beeb cut to a VT without going back to what was started.

Looks like a guaranteed lesbian silver or gold for GB in hockey.

Poor Portia probably gets straddled in much more probing circumstances on a daily basis, Usain should think himself lucky.

Mo Farah through to the 5000m final, and he tripped again, coming third in the race.

He says he hasn't recovered quite as well as he'd like. I hope his son hasn't been stealing his quorn hot dogs again.
