    Still above China (just)

A few good chances today. Brownlees, jade Jones, canoe slalom. I think Nicola Adams semi final too.

The BBC are moving the news too. Hopefully this is the start of it being fucked off forever.

We need to start employing British cyclings "only Gold will do" to athletics. Becky who tried her best for the Hull Harriers isn't getting me the medals I desire.

If it's the same event I'm thinking of, the men had much better bodies than the standard rowers - I could have watched that all night.

It is doll. It's all in the arms rather than rowing which is in the legs.

Jesus Christ, Felix threw the baton for the 4x100m. The Dutch and Americans crashed and burned in the heats

Brownlees look like they're definitely going to take two of the three medals.

Has anyone born in the 21st century won a medal? I'm guessing Amy Tinkler was 1999/2000.

CRYING at the whole Lochte saga.

I mean, he was never the brightest bulb in the chandelier but what the fuck would lead to a short circuit so that you'd lie about GETTING ROBBED AND BEING HELD AT GUNPOINT?

    Oh merica.

Fighting with a gas station security guard might be *one* of the reasons, it seems. What a bunch of IDIOTS.

Except the Americans are getting another go because they might cry if they don't make the final, or something.

I know I've moaned about it all week but it still annoys me there's no catch all highlights show. I've barely seen any athletics at all regarding Team GB, not seen any medal ceremonies and barely seen any wins and just been reading about them.

    Am I missing something?

I don't feel like I've missed much. It's all over the news and there's updates of the headlines throughout the shows.

It's not ideal no. Nothing structured. I had expected some sort of morning magazine show.

It must be Buatsi's bronze. He wasn't fighting today, but the gold medal match in his class finished about 15 mins ago.

I haven't wanted to see a woman get kicked in the head so much since the last time Louise Mensch was on the telly.

If the Spanish girl fights like she did in that semi then Jade is a shoe-in for gold.

I'm not sure if it was broadcast, but the gymnastics gala event was on last night and it's on iPlayer.

It features a shirtless Danell Leyva, a routine set to 1944, Oleg, amazing tumbling (why isn't that an event proper?!) and lots of girlie stuff.

I can barely believe anyone predicted anything other than a Brownlee gold. I'd have put my house on it.

I'm currently watching the USA do a relay race on their own. But i'm not sure why.
