My fave part of the Athletics tonight and tomorrow - the relays :disco:

The girls are looking good for a 4x100 medal, I think bronze behind Jamaica and USA but USA have drawn lane 1 so anything could happen.

Our boys have got lane 1 too but I think there is a chance of sneeking bronze with Gemili being brought in..the Japanese were so fast in qualifying though.

It's the 4x400m qualifying too :disco: We have solid teams in both.

Looking forward to the hockey final tonight at 9pm - our girls have not put a foot wrong throughout

I'm pissed off that the Americans are even in the final of the 4x100... They always seem to get whatever they want in appeals, when no-one else does.

I dunno, we've done alright by moaning. We got leeway in the high jump, and you can be damn certain that Jason Kenny would have been disqualified if we hadn't been on it quickly.

Getting the baton knocked out of your hand by someone else coming into your lane is reason enough to be given another chance if you ask me!

But yes I am pissed off only as we were looking good for the silver without them coming back in :(

They did lose their appeal in the long jump, leaving Greg Rutherford with a bronze instead of nothing. But that was pretty clear cut.

The Japanese coverage switched from the wrestling to the 50km walk and then synchronised swimming to the Lion King NAAAA SEVENYAAAA music. Fucking WEIRD sports, the latter two.

Wrestling wasn't that good. Are there other types? I remember vividly there was one where they were just presenting and the opponent just climbing in top

You're describing the par terre procedure. Is much more common in Greco-Roman Wrestling which was earlier in the week.

Less promising now. About a 60% chance of a medal.

Oldest medal winner was a silver in the 1948 ART COMPETITION. Bring that back.

You're right as usual and have the correct stat. No idea where he comes in the rank of pensioners.
