Last full day of competition. :(

Massive lol at the US mens 4x100 relay team, Gatlin's face when he realised they were DQ'D was great.

Still any word yet on why the GB 4x400m was disqualified?

In further lesbian hockey news, the Dutch coach is an Australian double gold Olympic medallist called Alyson who is married to a Dutch double bronze Olympic medallist called Carole, having previously been married to an Argentinian called Maximiliano who never won an Olympic medal despite competing in two Olympics. Alyson and Carole have two kids called Sam and Cooper.

How many medals do we need to become the First Nation to better their home games tally?

I mean Tom Daley is looking on point. Will they just do the same dives again?

    Hmm.

So we have two boxing medals in the bag.

Need four out of Farah, Thomas Robert Daley, 4 x 400m, canoe man, taekwondo, gold and modern pentathlon?

Women's triathlon could be a chance of a medal, as well.

    Was that even ANTICIPATED?

You know I still get a bit excited when we get a GOLD.

Well, he was the fastest qualifier so it wasn't a complete surprise, but the BBC's predictor types seemed to think that he was likely to get bronze.

Further detail seems to be coming through at last. Hudson-Smith's foot was judged to be either on the red line or marginally over it when he started his run. No definitive evidence could prove otherwise.

Maybe our other divers can start getting a bit more attention.

Daley was phenomenal yesterday. He kinda deserves the attention.

In good news David 'chin of hate' Boudia is struggling too.

Dreadful from Daley. You don't see the Chinese divers cocking up a semi final that badly.

I hope there isn't the sort of vitriol directed at him that Paula Radcliffe experienced after her Athens failure.

I've always had the feeling that he's desperately over-rated as a sportsman. His successes are underwhelming, when compared to his fame.

It was all based on his age though really wasn't it.

At least unlike Radcliffe, he did an amazing first round. His preliminary score was 571. There's a very good chance the eventual gold medalist won't get that in the final.

7th in his first Olympics aged 14 and world champion a year later. Quite impressive.

Jack Laugher should be invited to present the next series of Splash. Daley can compete in The Jump.
