Actually, I'd rather see the Ukrainian beat Uchimura than a silver for Whitlock.

I can't be arsed actually watching any of the events, but I like reading about how good we are at things. Have we won the gymnastics yet?

We waiting for Max Whitlock to go on the pommel horse. If he gets above 13, it's a gold for GB.

I guess where you're that much closer to silver the bronze doesn't seem so good

Is 13 hard to get? I watched the diving the other day and everyone was just pissing points, but I imagine in gymnastics they're slightly harder to come by.

    Frustrating, but a medal regardless.

Andrew Willis in the men's 200m breaststroke final and Duncan Scott in the 100m freestyle, but that's not until about 3am here.

I used to get him mixed up with Roy Castle when I was little. I can tell them apart a bit better now, on account of one being dead.

When's the lesbian boxing? Isn't Nicola Adams in with a massive shot for gold there?

We don't use the weird American system. Some medals are worth more than others.

Do the Americans not weight the ranking in favour of amount of golds/silvers?

Christ, being wrong is like a career for that lot.

One website says 5th, others say 9th. :bruised:

Great Britain play South Africa in the lesbian rugby semi final tomorrow. All the tennis was cancelled too today which I guess is good news for Jo Konta after her MARATHON match against Kusnetsova yesterday.

The US version has always favoured them that's why they use it.

"It's not the prettiest of jerks that we've seen, it doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to go up, and if it's not in the right position it's just so much harder"

Weightlifting commentary = double entendre city.
