Murray could have wrapped this up quite early. It's been great to watch the drama but quite a few of those breaks from Del
Potro could have and should have been avoided.

    Fucking FINALLY.

And screw those cunts in the crowd that had to be removed in the last game.

9.84 for Bolt in his semi. I'm glad I've got tomorrow off!

I also have tomorrow off. Was expecting to be asleep now and set my alarm for 2am to watch the 100m final. No point now.

Just saw Bolt's 9:84 - he slowed down at the end again.

I Despise Gatlin, he's a disgrace to athletics.

I don't know if you're seen this but NBC has basically been running "Gatlin redemption" fluff pieces all weekend and they're pretty disgusting.

Happy with the 3 medalists in the men's singles. Kinda glad we were spared a fifth set slog -- Del Potro was a dead man walking and occasionally ripping monster forehands in the fourth set. Bizarrely dramatic match even if the quality was ... all over the shop. Not a bad year for Murray .. at all.

I hope the BBC had Johnson's reaction to his record being broken. :o

WOW 43.03 from lane 8 and surely it's only a matter of time before he goes under 43 secs. So glad I watched that live :disco:

I'm gonna say that Andy will be World Number 1 at some point in 2017.

I previously found him insufferable, but he can mention healthy source of protein all he likes from now on as far as I'm concerned as I loved Mo's race - I just got more out of it than I expected with his pace-adjusting tactics and the oh so dramatic heel-clipping.

Totally have the hep virus too - that Belgian girl was phenomenal, even if I didn't want her winning.

And man alive, the French sprinter's arse from that final has to be one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

I've pretty much been recording it all and going through it after the fact so things like the lesbo-rugby can be fast-forwarded.

However, my true highlight from today's footage has been Claire Balding interrupting her swimming team interview to lose her shit with some golf commentary - "JUST SHAVING THE HOLE THERE" is a quote of life frankly, and I like to think she regularly shouts it every time her wife knocks on the bathroom door.

I feel slightly bereft knowing we have no guarantees medals today, but who are our big chances to cement second place?
