Personally I think incest’s perfectly acceptable as long as everyone’s genuinely up for it but I DO draw the line at dragging Socks (or some such) into matters of the nethers, even if she is giving you the sexy come-hithers

Having undertaken some very important research, I discover that consensual incest is LEGAL (and almost certainly encouraged - we all know what these countries are like @Dark Carnival :tongueout:) in FRANCE as well as Spain and Russia, so @lolly will be going to hell and I won’t :disco:

My teenaged obsession with VC Andrews has recently RETURNED so my fascination with incest has reached fever pitch lately. :disco:

    ABSOLUTELY

I’m increasingly enjoying the intro/outro sections into J&J lives far more than the letters :D

Joan’s lizardy husband last week, and this week’s Cardinal + diamond holes in the netball fence were GOLDEN

Parts of the intro/outro sections certainly suggest who might be the prettier one and of course Jericha’s husband is almost PERMANENTLY away on business :side-eye::disco:

In a way, it's hard to see how much further they can go with the letters so it makes sense that so much more of the podcast is now about the characters themselves.

What could be more wonderful than the body of an 8 year old girl?

    Exactly - for anyone.

If I'm honest I thought it was relatively the weakest episode since they returned, but I know from experience that a second listen often throws up delights I missed the first time.

I think I've also decided that I marginally prefer Jericha's storytelling (and the tribulations of Cardinal) over Joan's, so that may have something to do with it.

I'm only halfway through but I also thought it was the weakest, but still raised a smile a couple of times.

The baby lapping at the vulva was the first time I felt it was going full on for shock rather than anything else, and I'm not sure it worked entirely.

The second letter was unreal but overall I agree - the redirected lactation was just pure shock and the fiction of it so obvious that it didn't work. As someone that experienced the private school system (although not boarding school), the final bit maybe hit me better. But yeah, not a classic.

Definitely the weakest so far - La Davis does have an unfortunate tendency to stray into the implausible (definitely the undoing of Nighty Night 2, despite multiple highlights) - but the word “bonnet” always amuses me and I liked the ludicrous visual of the grubby bench business. Also, the lusty perving over the corpse - “I wouldn’t mind a BIT O’ THAT!” :D - plus the notion of everyone having a greedy peep through the DONKEY FLAP made it all relatively worthwhile

This is the issue tho', the letters need to be plausible for that segment to work...they can go anywhere they like with the characters but when the letters get too surreal/grotesque, it's not working as well.

I noticed a mini-backlash on Twitter over this episode (a couple of tweets). I have to say I enjoyed being appalled, not unlike THAT scene in Sally4Ever.

One tweet suggests Hello Fresh didn’t sponsor this week’s. Is that true? I wouldn’t KNOW

No, they still did, unless they have since withdrawn it anyway.

And yes, I quite enjoy being appalled as well. I like knowing my limits. Now I know I'm okay with fucking a labrador, I need to be reassured that I have some.

To be honest, if Hello Fresh (mm-MMMMMMM) have now bailed, it will be quite tricky to establish exactly where they drew the line.

Weird - I thought this episode was the funniest of the four! Nothing will beat last week’s Cardinal outro but I suppose one of the things I find funniest about improvised comedy is hearing the actors trying not to laugh, or getting carried away with themselves, which I think episode 4 was all about.

The milky letter in this ep reminded of the KinderCyst in s1 (my PERSONAL nadir) where they probably should have stopped half way through before it veered into nonsensical.

They were ALWAYS going to struggle with letters after the cancer sufferer in s1 where they took the side of husband and 19 year old gf from Haiti :D (my PERSONAL highlight). That was such an omg moment on first listen.

Regardless, I’m still happy to have them waffling on even if it’s not quite reaching their golden previous glories :disco:

Series 2 has also finally prompted me to watch Sally4ever which I somehow missed, Julia Davies is only really interested in playing ONE character isn’t she :D Thankfully the character is probably the best ever created :disco:

Now I LOVED the kinder cysts :D

And I also think this series has been every bit as good as the first on the whole (this episode aside), but mainly because of poor Cardinal.

Deffo want further adventures of Mahmood and Cardinal. Esp. as the latter seems to have caught the former for exactly what he is...

KinderCysts was one of my highlights on the S1 re-listen before the new series.

The last two new episodes haven’t been sponsored by Hello Fresh for me too.

For whatever reason, the suckling baby in a rubber bonnet had me in absolute stitches.

I got a "Hello Fresh". Same one tho'. Might be an error.

The letters are too far out again, for the most part. Too unlikely. It's twisting the thing too much.

    Hello Fresh for me too.

I quite liked the anal letter in a vaguely amusing way and “Gunster” made me LOL but I don’t think the rest even raised a titter.

I hope they have something up their sleeve for the last episode, because it’s really gone off the boil for me now, with these last two episodes.

No posts last week? Can't say I remember the episode now.

Not dreadfully good Deliveroo ad today, Jericha's brace of gooducken notwithstanding.
