I saw this for THE FIRST TIME yesterday on ITV2.

    Amazing. :o

The special effects are hilariously dated, and it's a completely random story, but what CAMPERY. :D

It's on ITV2 every few weeks and has been for about a year at least. It's one of about 15 films they constantly show on rotation.

    I adore Death becomes her....

Ii was more excited by ITV3 showing Clue the other night - Even though I have it on DVD, it was a good excuse to bully more people into watching it...

I was only informed of this movie last summer, by my best friend who likes the exact films I do, and its definitely one of my favourite films now. Its one of the few films with Goldie in it I can manage to watch (the other being The First Wives Club). A definite 10/10 moment. Especially for the scenes when Meryl shoots Goldie and all that surrounding nonsense.

It might be ridiculous, but it's the best sort of ridiculous. Truly a joy from beginning to end.

There's only so much campness I can handle, it feels like its trying too hard to be ridiculous.

I made this typo last year in a Facebook message to a lot of my friends, and she has become forever known as Meryl Street as a result.

She was a homebreaker. She was a man-eater. And she was a BAD actress

Seriously, I do like loads of mainstream movies but Death Becomes Her is just really, really shit.

Streep looks embarrassed most of the time.

Re-watched this last night and it's SUCH a 10/10. Practically every scene is a camp joy. Goldie Hawn can make me laugh just by flickering her eyebrows.

"You PUSHED ME down the STAIRS..."

"She was a homewrecker, she was a MAN eater, and she was a BAAAAAD actress"

"I will NOT speak to you until you put your head on straight!"

    "THAT was TOTALLY uncalled for..."

Prince Charles Cinema is showing this in October. Already got my tickets!

They’re also showing Supergirl after my own suggestion!

I'll never tire of this film. I have it on DVD but always end up watching it when I catch it on TV. I watched it with a few (straight) friends a while ago who hadn't seen it and they thought Bruce Willis was the standout in this  :manson:
Everyone knows this movie is ALL about Meryl and Goldie and their impeccable line readings!
