What a load of bollocks. The BBC can never appeal to everyone and a lot of the people on the supposed middle and lower tiers have a lot of fans.
I would've never thought Simon Schama was particularly popular, anyway.
Giles Coren is certainly NOT of limited appeal to me.
Hell yeah -
I'd be interested in seeing where the likes of Fearne Cotton and Tess Daley come on this list. They must surely be pretty high ranked since they're on a lot, but i don't think i've ever met anyone who likes them, or even read any sort of praise about them (although Robotboy curiously seems to be a Tess fan). There doesn't seem to be much public research that goes into this sort of thing.
I think i've just spent the last 5 minutes staring at that gif.
Yeah, I've never understoof why everyone hates Tess. I always loved her on SMTV and she rescues Strictly from being completely unwatchable, despite Bruce Forsyth's best efforts.
Even my mum, who rarely watches TV, has managed to develop the amount of bile for Tess that she usually only reserves for Air Hostesses.
It sort of makes me like Tess a bit more to be honest, my mum is well funny when she's on one.
What IS it that everyone hates about her?
I totally get the Fearne hate. DREADFUL.
I don't watch Strictly but I always thought she was alright. I think I just like Northern girls because I wish I was Northern
No problem with Tess at all. Totally harmless.
Fearne to DIE however.
I shouldn't SAY THAT. She might CALL the fucking police...
