Hardly. Many artists routinely struggle to get the timing of the video right.

will Dope eventually be a single? GOD she loves that song and it's awful, vomit inducing TRITE. Oh well, every Gaga singles campaign has to have flaws one way or another.

She showed her voice off impressively on Chatty Man, but 2 piano-pounder ballads from her was too much for me. I wanted her to climb on top for more finger point dancing.

Breaking news: Dope is better than half the tracks in Artpop, including the excruciating Aura and Venus! :o

Surely it must have outsold "Applause" in the UK by now? Probably not yet worldwide because I think "Applause" sold quite well in the USA.

From memory it had sold about 70k in disqualified sales before first charting. I was guess after this weekend it's on about 110k not including those.

So looks like it should go back into the top 10 this week. Plus the weeks when it didn't chart. Shaping up to be a nice hit.

Applause has sold around 250K in the UK.
DWUW is around 110K (including the disqualified weeks).

How many disqualified weeks are there? How much did it sell without them?

I can see disqualified sales becoming the new stocking issues.

As in it could become another ironic excuse, not that DWUW doesn't genuinely have those sales, but anyway.

Trammy is right, 76k as of last sunday, so 100k now. It's doing solid work but won't wind up much bigger than Applause without the video coming really soon...

But at least with disqualified sales you have a genuine figure to work with in terms of how they could have done.

Did we get positions for where it would have charted had it not been disqualified?

Well according to Music Week it would have debuted at #10 with 23.000 copies sold.

I have no idea for the 2 following weeks though.

Unless there's an error on their website, this seems to have already been dropped from the Radio 1 Playlist. (It was there last week, wasn't it?)

Well it was on the a-list 3 weeks I think. Not too surprising.

Just watched the Alan Carr perf. Absolutely brilliant. Her performances over the last month have been really quite something.

It's a shame she didn't just do this on XF actually

I just love Gags more than ever these days.

The sadness that she's not what she was, but the hunger to get it back is so endearing. And then there are all those max tracks.

    QUEEN!

I am actually 100% ok with her commercial fortunes now. I just can't be arsed giving it too much thought when the music, the image, the performances and so on are all so top notch. Most of the best albums flop anyway, and any diva worth her salt is most enjoyable when the chips are down. Chart success is so passé.

That performance is absolutely sensational. She's in a league of her own.

She's been inconsistent live during this era though.

I've been loving her Applause perfs the most. The one on Music Station was utterly fucking triumphant. After that this song at the AMAs and Alan Carr was also classic Gags.

Since Gags's music became more melodic I love to see her bashing away at the piano. In the Poker Face days, there really wasn't much to show. These days, it's quite sensational to watch her play four chords for three minutes.

I'm so happy to have finally got my BF on board with Gags thanks to this max track. It's only taken two years.

    WRITE what you WANT
Say WHAT you WANT about ME
    If you wanna know
    Then I'm not SORRY

    You can't STOP my VOICE
Cause you don't OWN MY LIFE
