I rarely take much notice of the Drag Race queens’ musical output as it so often seems to be the modern day equivalent of Page 3 stunnas like Linda Lusardi or Maria Whittaker deciding that it’s a great idea to release a single and showcase their hot vocal talant (except they were obviously better :disco:)

Does anyone fancy throwing together a Top 10 Drag Race Queen Tracks to convince me otherwise? Go on gurls; I know how you all love a LIST :disco:

Ok Zu, I've worked on the assumption that we're starting from a blank canvas so you may know half this list but it's the Beryl endorced Drag Race Alum Top 10 Max Tracks:

    10. Bob The Drag Queen - Purse First
    09. AAA - Pride or Die
    08. Shangela - Werqin Girl
    07. DWV - Blurred Bynes
    06. Courtney Act - Kaeidoscope
    05. Shea Coulee ft. The Vixen - Cocky
    04. Blair St Clair - Now or Never
    03. Adore & Alaska - I Look Fucking Cool
    02. Adore Delano - Party
    01. Alaska - Your Make Up Is Terrible

    So there ya go

Honesty it could just be a top ten of Adore and Alaska + Blair St Clair so just listen to them.

I genuinely love both Jinkx's The Ginger Snapped and Alaska's Poundcake in their entirety. And both so much stronger than their predecessors.

Adore just doesn't do it for me musically.

I have never really listened to any of those songs, but Your Make Up is Terrible is off the scale!

Your Make Up Is Terrible is essential :disco:

I like both of Jinx's albums and they're very well put together, if very much of their oeuvre (as you might expect).

My favourite of all is the entirety of Courtney's "Kaleidoscope" EP - five really very good songs plus she can actually sing too which is a bonus :D

@Ag, can you or another mod split this from Zu's post asking for recommendations, please?

    YES.

And The Chop by Manila and Latrice is fabulous too, although not on the level of Hot Couture

    Me too

Btw I hope one of you gifted queens can track down a mega mix that may or may not exist, of Kitty Girl with Read U Wrote U, Category Is and CLAT (mainly because Aja was robbed).

I’m sure someone must have made it, there were enough Read U Wrote U bitter re-edits with Roxxxy removes and Tatiana spliced in.

I saw one passable attempt of Kitty Girl vs Read U Wrote U, but I want more!

I'm quite enjoying this, particularly in remix form

Although I do feel I shouldn't indulge her with the whole sponge thing.

This is an album I recommend you avoid. Alaska and apparent long time collaborator Jeremy (I think he co wrote and appeared on a lot of Anus and Poundcake) have made an album 'Amethyst Journey' together on equal footing. Apparently they went on a retreat to Russian River together and came up with it, from the sounds of it after sitting around and smoking far too much cannabis.

I see it’s from the Melanie Chisholm school of song writing. What is war indeed.

Well not really a recommendation, just a thing that happened

I guess Tod has well and truly hitched his wagon to Drag Race, what a charmless set of catchphrases strung together to a club beat.

I liked his wizard of oz one from a few years ago though

Adore is by far the best 'pop star' that's come from Drag Race. I rather love this:

I am enjoying Alaska's Vagina though. But the album isn't as good as Poundcake.

Anyone up for THE Big Girl taking a Lizzo song about body positivity and rewriting/"parodying" it so the lyrics are even more explicitly about being fat phat than they already were? No? Well TOUGH because I listened to it and now you have to as well :argh:
