Jinkx Monsoon was an absolute delight on this week's Race Chaser. I found myself wishing she'd replace Willam, who's starting to repeat a lot of the same beats in terms of her observations.

I was interested to hear Ru had visited Japan in December 1991 (what are Michelle’s kids called again, Ru?)

I’m so pleased he could see “Mount Fiji” :)

I don’t get Willam, he dislikes the show so why would I listen to him recapping every episode. They guested on What the Tuck and every comment was “this was produced” “this is fake”

Willam spends a lot of time on Race Chaser talking about how much he both loves the show and admires Ru (with certain caveats on the latter of course :basil:). I was actually surprised at how not-bitter I find him to be! I used to have a very different view. I think he's just very aware of how television is made, particularly reality TV, and feels that a lot of the audience sometimes lose sight of that so is here to make it clear.

I'm more of a Willam fan than ever thanks to Race Chaser.

Yeah I love Willam and Alaska on this. Jinkx was great although I could see her being a bit much if she was on every week.

Ben was great on this too. I'm still loving this and What the Tuck. The others I've fallen out of the way of.

Yeah me too. Tbh I think they are a great pair together. Alaska is funnier but slower, Willam is sharper and more interesting but not as funny (album about dicks and poo, anyone?)

Yeah, the bit where they talked about Willam's "album" was just embarrassing....

I suppose because they use Race Chaser the song, Alaska feels kind of obliged.

I did listen to a few tracks of Willam's album before it got taken down (although I never realised it was) and it was pretty rotten.

    Omg this week’s What’s the T is 1hr 44?

I’m about 15 minutes into this Cobain interview and I’m clawing at my face already. I’d never have known she was on drugs. Did she drink 23 espressos?

The Suzanne Bartsch one was superb- none of Ru’s psycho clap trap, Visage reined in by being sidelined. It just showed up what an ENORMOUS shit show the Rita Ora segment that followed was, though :D

Yeah that was a good one, Ora even was alright (Visage unleashed aside)

None of them are getting in the way of Cobain, I’m exhausted! I still don’t think I know anything about her, except I don’t want to listen to her music, even though she’s apparently good at everything

I'm listening to so many podcasts now that What's The T is dropped. Race Chaser is enough RPDR podcast wise for me.

I'll probably dip back in for a few when I've got time though, so I'll bookmark the Bartsch one.

Why am I listening to this??? Just sat through Cara Delevingne talking ALL OF THE BOLLOCKS.

The guest judges on the podcasts have been so dreadful for this season

The last few minutes are almost a parody

Cara: I knew ORRLLL the Spice Girls Songs
Ru: What’s your favourite spice girls song?
    Cara: Oh I’m not s—
    RuPaul: MINE is Say you’l—
Michelle hasn’t talked for 10 seconds: Say you’ll be mine???
RuPaul: Say you’ll be THERE *sings totally different melody with the title words*
Michelle: oh right, Say you’ll be mine was by The Steps!
    Ru: ahhh yes The Steps!

The live episodes they've broadcast have sounded fairly chaotic (the LIVE PONIES on stage :D), so I'm not sure I'd stump up for this.

I love the podcast though and the addition of HAWT GOOOOOSSSSS bonus episodes is even better. Alaska and Willam are perfect foils for each other and thank goodness Alaska is on hand to reign Willam in a bit otherwise it would have been cancelled months ago :D

I love Hot Goss as well. They have such a great chemistry and POV that they clearly needed the freedom to talk about other things.

And yes, Alaska is perfect to temper Willam - and I think she makes her a lot more likeable as a result.

I struggled with pronouns there. I had no problem using her for Alaska, but really wanted to use him for Willam. Perhaps I ought to stick with they/their.

I too think they’re the perfect match, but I wish that Alaska would loosen up a bit, she’s usually a bit too correct.

I always do that with Willam.

I like her as a sensible foil for Willam actually, who's loose enough.

Alaska definitely is right to hold Willam back a bit, as funny as it is. I love her "Oh my GOD!" takes every time Willam takes it WAY too close to the bone :D

The story of Willam having a shouting match with Ru (through a car window no less!) over Mathu made me howl, but you could just tell that Alaska wanted to move on SWIFTLY :D

Weirdly I haven’t really warmed to Hot Goss (as well as the endless parade of Forever Dog slurry they keep slopping at us), but still here for Race Chaser. I wish they were separate feeds.

I lasted for 90 seconds for Big Dipper and Meatball's show :zombie:

I don't care about the other Forever Dog guff, I just skip through that until I get to the show. I can definitely see Hott Goss being spun off into its own feed sooner rather than later though.

Yeah let’s yell about pop culturrree and sexxxxx and foooood and pop culturrrre, because there aren’t enough podcasts about pop culture already.

I lasted fractionally longer with the Monet & Bob one, but not by much.

    “This opinion is true”
“Girl, I can’t even with you”
“Girl, you can’t be serious, you’re wrong”
    *someone provides actual evidence*
    “No girl”

What I meant about Alaska is that she sometimes seems to censur herself a bit too much when it comes to commenting on the show and the queens. It’s better now when they’re doing season 3, but it was getting a bit annoying during AS4.

Not really, but they did discuss Yvie Oddly’s controversial tweets recently. Generally it’s about what they’ve been up to, plus a bit of politics and a Q&A every episode. I love it.

The latest episode of Hot Goss with Willam and Gia Gunn just proves how much Willam (and the show) needs Alaska.

Love that they managed to dig up actual Alessandro Toressani for this week’s main episode :D

She’s a very good sport, too.

Yes I was thinking that too! Probably helps to be right after that Hot Goss that was so limp last week. Willam talking passionately about the Amazon (which he didn’t know anything about) and Gia half asleep.

But Race Chaser Classique is the one. I always look forward to putting that on (and skipping the first 2:30 of whatever shit ForeverDog are pushing)
