i listened through the album yesterday with a friend. wasn't very enthusiastic (not caring much for break my heart [i find the chorus jarring], or the title track and jark's initial lukewarm review [i mean if he wasn't looning]) but it was a bit of a revelation. i liked pretty much everything apart from the last few tracks. big yes for cool, levitating, hallucinating, love again. i see she has writing credits on all the tracks, wonder how involved she is. anyway, it's super nice to have such a high profile unabashedly pop album by a likable pop star.

There are no towering highs for me right now, although that could change in the future. Sometimes it's better to be CONSISTENT anyway. This is definitely a no-skip pop album for me.
is Hallucinate the next single then? It sounds a tad GERU circa 2004 I LOVE IT. 08 Future Nostalgia 10 Don't Start Now 09 Cool 11 Physical 10 Levitating 08 Pretty Please 10 Hallucinate 09 Love Again 09 Break My Heart 07 Good In Bed 07 Boys Will Be Boys
#2 for the album in the midweeks. 7k behind 5 Seconds Of Summer. I mean clearly she will outsell them many times over ultimately, but WHAT A FUCKING DISGRACE
I’m assuming 5SOS were selling a whole bunch of preorder signed physicals, but then I remember Dua was doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING
