Break My Heart is looking at a top 30 Hot 100 debut holding well at 8 on global Spotify. Physical should reach a new peak this week too.
I don't mind paying a fiver now and then stumping up for an expanded edition down the line. In the olden days, I'd have spent three or four quid each on the three CD singles by this time anyway.
It's not about the cost for me at all, just that I've got so many CDs and records that, eventually, I'm going to have cut down. I've already sold a few CDs and the plan is to (eventually) get rid of them all. I will miss them but we don't have the space and I actively ENJOY playing vinyl, whereas all I will miss about CDs is browsing the shelves. I really don't want to lose that, but I just don't think we have the space.
SO NICE Physical is looking to snatch a top 3 position this week before the Break My Heat reign starts Break My Heart is clearly going to be around for an ice age, the "I should have stayed at home.."//Need You Tonight riff is just TOO CATCHY. It's going to be huge on UK radio forevermore. I see a lot of gays calling for Hallucinate as fourth single, but I thing that could be a bit of a rare MISSTEP tbh. Love Again or Cool would be much better for radio, and I doubt Hallucinate would do anything in the States. It's TOO FROTHY.
totally agree with all of that tbh - she wants Love Again as a single and to that I say oui, s'il vous plaît!
make it a throwback to the 2000's campaign Hallucinate - UK & Europe Levitating - US Cool - Japan, etc.
Cool is such a Japan only single. She'll still be huge there in 2030 when the rest of the world is over it
Hallucinate in the stand out for me - needs to be the fourth single. Liking the title track too. She's doing Gaga better than Gaga. Also reminding me of Gwen at her peak
Agree and I've started having thoughts about getting rid of some of my CDs. Then again it might be a good time to hold on to them... I don't expect the value would go up but the nostalgia value could make them more novelty value as time goes on and if the coronavirus aftermath lasts years (which it will...)
5 Seconds of Summer got the number one album. (-) 1 CALM - 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER - 34,941 (-) 2 FUTURE NOSTALGIA - DUA LIPA - 34,390 Meaning they somehow added 12.5k copies yesterday while Dua added 7.5k. What the fuck?
and Dua was apparently number 1 on streaming, downloads and vinyl - 5SOS managed it by some weird suddenly-announced last minute website version sales APPARENTLY
Levitating is giving me such 90's vibes. Sounds like early Rob YES. Despite Rita having Anywhere and Ritual to her name, she has released some TURDS here and there it has to be said. Namely Girls
anyway she was: #3 Physical #4 Don't Start Now #6 Break My Heart queens only! literally! Physical also up to 3 in Belgium rendering it a true international hit. (Don't Start Now still #4 there too.) Not everybody has that!
Have to buy all the editions including all the cassettes....using eBay or discogs ......because of this stupid corona virus...I was working online and no time for me (still working) and missed all the items .....
I call SHENANIGANS 5OS might have mustered a few decent tunes (and one outstanding one), but there is obviously no competition. Dua is number one in our hearts.
There is no mistaken, REET-WHORA has released some amazing tracks, on par with Dua, but if there is any beef, it will be down to Dua just being BETTER.
Dua's vinyl is sold out everywhere and I guess it would be difficult to manufacture more quickly in the current climate. Are we sure she's got the No.1 next week? I suppose her streaming numbers will still be higher than 5 Seconds of Summer (who, surely, got to No.1 based on loon purchases or something?)
Officially obsessed with Cool However, I'm upset that the lyrics are "I guess we're ready for the summer" when I was convinced they were "I guess I'm ready for the solo", which I thought was much more interesting
