Am I wrong, or have Phil, Mick, Billy, Keanu AND Vincent (so five characters) ALL disappeared off the face of the earth yet not one of their respective family members seems to GIVE A SHIT?!

Didn't you know? They're trying out a new non-linear storytelling style, like Pulp Fiction

Friday’s episode was great - I’m glad they managed to get the whole Branning family back for it.

Also, when did Whitney become a good character? Or was that just a one-off?

The best (worst) bit was Karen screaming CONGAAAAAAAA!!!! and everybody losing their shit. The sense of "community" on EE is the most far-fetched thing about it, if this were a real London square nobody would know/give a shit about each other and half of the residents wouldn't be able to speak English.

Funny how there was nobody around outside to help Mick, the blaring car alarm, adjacent to a busy market and right in front of an open pub in a busy London square, and Linda just stood and watched. :D

It's been about 6 months since I've watched - I keep meaning to but I can't bring myself to.

When is Kat back - I want to witness her return.

The heist storyline is officially good now that it features female characters swanning around drinking gin and snarling at each other - and let's not even mention Ciara having an enormous framed painting of herself in her front room :disco:

What a strange storyline. Are we really supposed to care that someone we don't know just found out the truth about his father?

This all feels very rushed and SHIT. Too many characters we don't give any fucks about, this Ciara is a waste of time and apparently she's Mel's sister in law did I hear? So who did Mel marry to make that the case?

I still thought it was gonna come out that Hunter is a Beale but he looks too much like they've cast a mini Martin Kemp.

I think spending so much time on this storyline then ending it with Sharon handing it back over to Ciara is a waste of time. I always feels with these half arsed jobs WHY BOTHER??

Why does Vincent owe Aidan lots of money and have to sell The Albert cut price? I thought he was going to lend Mick the money for the pub the other week, so why is he now broke?

Aidan blames Vincent for his brother's death (due to something that happened offscreen back when Vincent was a police grass), so is extorting him under pain of death :o

And why does no one care about Jane now the truth is out about Max?

I've not watched since the new year. Kat without Alfie may tempt me back.

I don’t know if anyone actually knows that Max effectively killed Stephen and tried to kill Jane? Although this may have been outed in another episode I have missed along the line.

Ian definitely knows about Stephen, he tried to attack Max on Christmas Day. Actually I think EVERYONE involved knows.

I wish Tanya would come back for good. Not sure how much scope there is for that to happen now though.

It really was. I know Max was the main reason for her untimely demise, but I honestly felt so sorry for him.

Strange how no one except for Max seems to care about the baby though.

As rubbish as this storyline with Aidan has been, I have really enjoyed this weeks episodes, and can’t wait for the showdown tomorrow. Eastenders is all about the Carters really now isn’t it? Until Kats return at least. I love Mick, Linda, and Shirl.

Thank GOD that storyline in finished. Phil and Sharon as a Bonnie & Clyde esque couple sounds appealing. Roll on next week for the start of the Queen Kathleen return. :disco:

I haven’t really watched for weeks but out of curiosity I watched to see if the end of Aidan was a turning point.

The whole thing ending with a toast to Phil and the off-screen death of a character no-one cares about pretty much sums up how the show is so engrosssed in its own little bubble it’s forgotten entirely how to be GOOD.

That was utterly laughable! Phil turns up and Aidan and his two dozens cronies just skulk off? :D

I don't get this timeline... did Redwater only happen last week then?

Jenna Russell has quit her role as Michelle as she "fancied doing something else". What, such as working?

I am at a bit of a loss to what actually happened in red water. Was Kat found swept up on island outside county Cork and is now on the run from her psycho priest son?? :o
