I didn't realise my voted COUNTED. Looks like I could have inadvertently helped the Tories to win one...

I hope so. People are easily influenced though but i'm hoping for a lot negative press about what actually will happen if we were to become independent before 2010. A lot of people just have no idea.

At least I can fucking vote against it. I'll be 20 then.

There seems to be a bit of a bollocks up with this electronic ballot counting system that we're using. It's counting almost 900 spoiled ballots for some constituencies. I mean, I know some people aren't exactly bright but that's just a FEW TOO MANY.

Our council has moved from Labour to NOC (phew) - Lab and Lib Dem lost 1 each, Cons gained 2.

I voted SNP. And I wouldn't count myself as a stupid cunt.

I also voted for Tommy Sheridan. Hate to think what you'll make of that.

Actually, the voting papers were pretty confusing.

Two members of my team fucked them up and are openly admitting they had no idea how to fill them in. And these are smart professional people.

Snork, if you don't mind me asking, what were your reasons for voting SNP?

Just interested in hearing the other POV since so many of the Scots here seem very against them...

Results are still coming in across the country I see. I didn't vote. :shy: I had to work at 12 till 10, and I didn't have time beforehand. Shameful, although the result was rather a foregone conclusion, what with Horsham being judged second best place in the country to live on that Channel 4 thing.

    A genuine :o at that.

The ballot papers were only confusing if you didn't read them. I understand people presuming that both elections would use the same system but it was made pretty clear on the forms I think.

Yeah, but if you make a mistake, the ballot's spoiled. That happened to both of them.

But it's like the psychometric testing question where you get a huge sum to solve and the last sentence of the puzzle instructs you to ignore all of the above and leave the page blank. Cue most candidates handing back a paper full of working and scribbles. Never fell for that once.

And in other related news, one of my coursemates (not actually my mate) at university was elected a Tory councillor :manson: :manson:

    Labour got the parliamentary seat.

But we had over 2,000 spoiled ballots.

    Council results still to come.

Norwich didn't quite live up to the pre-election hype of potentially becoming the first Green Party controlled council. Instead it's a NOC again. The Tories remain virtual non-entities YET AGAIN....

    Labour - 15 (-1)
    Lib Dems - 11 (-1)
    Green - 10 (+1)
    Conservative - 3 (+1)
    UKIP - 0 (0)

    My ward...

    Labour - 1,155
    Lib Dems - 472
    Green - 368
    Conservative - 227
    UKIP - 80

Lib Dems won in my ward.

    Green: 333
    Conservative: 200
    BNP: 101
    Alliance For Green Socialism: 58
    Independent: 51

    Overall for Leeds

    Labour 43 (+3)
    Liberal Democrat 24 (-1)
    Conservative 22 (-2)
    Green 3 (0)
    British National Party 1 (0)
    Others 6 (0)

Labour got chucked out in my ward, and the neighbouring one, YAY. However it seems that overall on the council they'll still have control as the Independent member votes with them, despite facing benefit fraud charges :manson:

    Con - 1218
    Lab - 997
    Lib Dem - 164

I'm not sure what ward I'm in. :shy: It's either two Lib Dems that got in, or one Conservative and one Lib Dem. BNP got a few votes too, which is hardly surprising, as some of the ward is a council estate. Overall, Horsham is a Conservative hold.

APPARENTLY the Tories lost gaining overall control in Colchester by TWO VOTES... Which is pleasing. Kind of...

Jimmy's credibility as one of Moopy's political authorities sinks faster than a Mel C album in a country with no lesbians.
