It just feels odd that people like our Luxish friend Nadia can't vote when her life is here, she's bought property here, speaks a hellava lot more best than most of us etc.

I voted leave for reasons that I genuinely believed were valid and that I hope would not be perceived as racist and/or idiotic.

My view is not absolute and like I said in the other thread, I think the whole issue is a lot more complicated than a mere in or out - and if we remain in I would not be upset or angry.

To be quite honest I just want the whole thing to be over now. This has put me off of voting in anything ever again.

Have we seen this about German newspaper Bild? http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/ent...nt-pages_uk_576ba917e4b0b1f1704ff9f1?40307ldi

"Dear Britain, if you stay in the EU...
We will acknowledge the Wembley goal.
We won't make any more jokes about Prince Charles' ears.
We won't wear sun cream on the beach in solidarity with your sunburn.
We will go without our goalkeeper at the next penalty shootout to make it more exciting.
We will introduce tea time, with buckets on the beaches of Majorca.
We will willingly provide the villain in every Bond film.
We'll start "ticking" like you and put our clocks back by an hour.
We'll put through an EU directive which forbids foam on our beer.
We'll reserve sun loungers around the pool for you with our towels.
Jogi Löw will guard your crown jewels.
We will come to your Queen's 100th birthday."

In the face of 50 people before you voting remain at least you have the balls to be open and stand by your convictions. Many people probably wouldn't have commented. For that I commend you.

(Still did a tag tho x)

    Agreed.

I really can't imagine what leads people to vote out tbh, but well done for being honest.

My office poll results are in:

    REMAIN 23
    LEAVE 9

    There's hope guys!

The three CHILDREN in accounts voted Leave (in this poll). We've subjected them to a bit of eye rolling!

If it was as easy as "in" or "out" I don't think I'd feel so torn. But it's because I was really only 60/40 that I've felt such conflicting emotions and that I don't want to be sucked into either side of the argument because I feel most are quite extreme in my social circle.

It's definitely changed my opinion of people that go against the grain though. In this context it's really not easy

I just feel like I would have to be so sure to vote LEAVE when REMAIN is ultimately a vote for the status quo and, really... is life that bad in the UK?

There are valid reasons to vote leave but the Leave campaign has been such an unending stream of xenophobic nonsense that it's been impossible to see them as anything other than a shower of proto-fascist, self-seeking liars (Gove? Spending spare cash on the NHS? Suuuuuuure....).

I think in the wider sense, no, life is not so bad. But in terms of my own quality of life (especially in terms of work) things have got worse and harder. Is that all the fault of the EU? Absolutely not, but literally everything HAS been thrown into the mix here (rightly or wrongly) and that's how I voted. It's far from a perfect referendum and I absolutely think the Tories have basically managed to sweep all their failings under the EU rug and people aren't challenging them on things that probably aren't even related to the EU. But than isn't the debate - the debate is what we've been presented from both sides so I've had to vote based on that and what affects me on a day to day basis.

Aside from immigration putting them under a lot of pressure, I still don't understand how the EU is to blame for the current state of the NHS.
