I'm playing "Flyin' To Your Heart" as I TYPE

And "Prologue ~To the Ancient Land~" is now one of the alarms on my phone so I've ruined it for myself forever.

Though, then again, so is "Heal" from the ICO soundtrack - it's such a LOVELY way to wake up.

I've had to choose my "Friday Five" tracks for work recently (team bonding :zombie: ) and three of my tracks were from games music (+Kate Bush and some Spanish bands) - Liberi Fatali and these two:

The whole F-Zero X soundtrack is shit the floor amazing and the classic tune is Mute City but I went with this to ingratiate myself with the resident Goth in my team

I love the mental pipe organ in this Bloody Tears version so much.

I listen to more game music than pop these days.

That's so pretty Wendy. If I ever got married (which I doubt) my walking in tune would be the Main Theme of Dragon Quest :D

There are so many amazing Sonic songs that it could have its own thread.
    My favourites are:

    ^The VOX in this! :disco:

Escape from the City from Sonic Adventure 2 is embedded in my mind until the day I die. I'm not sure I want it there, but it is and I just have to live with that. Meanwhile, the Green Hill Zone music and pretty much every one of the songs from the first few Pokémon games make me so nostalgic I want to weep.

My former flatmates were quite perturbed when I got to the City Escape stage in Sonic Generations, and proceeded to belt out the song word for word despite not hearing it for years beforehand :eyes:

I rarely will listen to game music outside of the game, but there are a few exceptions for me:

That's amazing @WiDGe-> - I'd missed it before :o I've read stories about how great Uematsu is at these events, apparently he's very good at remembering particular people years after first meeting them and bringing up whatever they spoke about before!

I've been playing a lot of Street Fighter V recently (the recent update has really improved things!), and I would like it noted for the record that Rashid's theme music fucking BANGS:

I still adore Lava Reef Act 2 from Sonic Mania.

More ‘80s synths and electric guitar in gaming please.

Oh, and the Jurassic Park-esque theme from Cascade Kingdom in Mario Odyssey is the first moment when I knew the game was going to be absolutely epic.

Nintendo recently released a five-disc Breath of the Wild soundtrack in Japan, and it includes a clean/dialogue-free version of the music featured in the trailer from last year. I am a bit obsessed with it:

I don't play FFXIV, but they recently did a NieR Automata crossover event and this version of Weight of the World mixed with the Final Fantasy Prelude is absolutely slaying me:

    Never a bad time.

Busted Bayou, simply my favourite song in a game of all time.

And pretty on par, Grassland Groove has me convinced David Wise is a Trio Bulgarka fan.

I met David Wise last year and he signed my SNES copy of Donkey Kong Country 2. He is one of my favourite composers of all time and a brilliant sax player. Unfortunately he is also a thick Brexiteer of the TAKING BACK CONTROL kind.

Then his saxophone is conveying the apology he can't untangle his brain to deliver otherwise. I'll change my twitter avatar to the EU flag and tweet him my love of Busted Bayou later.
