The new album then, in comparison to this time in the WWTNS era, I'm not quite as excited about the album, but I still think it'll be good, and I can imagine it'll do relatively well. If See The Day is a Dee C Lee cover I think it's definately in with a good shot for Christmas #1, which'll help the album no end.

I'm really getting into Biology now, I imagine this'll take them back to the top 5.

I really like 'Biology' - its back to being a bit different and edgy. They werein danger of just turning into Atomic Kitten

I see they are sticking to the forumla of the last album in releasing a ballad cover for the third single.

I think 'Biology' will go in at #4 or so.

I hope "See the day" isn't a cover of the Dee C Lee classic, coz Girls Aloud hardly have the voices to carry such a powerful song!

On "Biology" their voices all sound computerised apart from Nadine, and the choreography for the video is laughable! :D

Par for the course then really. They've always been awful dancers.

The broom dance from "The Show" was particularly painful from memory, although the "sexy" end "routine" to "Long Hot Summer" was equally dire.

    God, they're SHITE :zombie:

Yeah, is the dancing MEANT to be that out of time with eachother in the video?

Biology is quite the grower, I think it'll be #3 or so for them which is nice. I am looking forward to the album, for what they are (throwaway pop), they are bloody good.

I'm glad you posted this because I wanted to reply in the Biology topic but couldn't

Biology is wonderful...I think it's one of the best songs they've done yet. And they all look GORGEOUS in the video too. Apart from Nicola, like.

I agree, having seen Biology a few times now, it IS really good. It is one of the best things they have done. Cheryl looks stunning in the vid, especially the little part where she sings solo

It's all about them in the pink dresses. :horny:

I think it will go top 3 - it's just so catchy.

Biology is pretty dire IMO! Probably their worst single after "Wake Me Up"

Oh I DID hate Long Hot Summer and wasn't really over-excited at the thought of the album but Biology has changed my mind. It's a great tune and certainly a HUGE grower :D

Well if you consider "Wake Me Up" is their worst single, you CLEARLY have NO taste ANYWAY...

Its grown on me to the point of indifference really- same as "Long Hot Summer". Both alright, but nowhere near past glories...

It is such a VAST improvement on 'LHS' they should get back into the top 5 with this.

If they don't, then they are in trouble

I'd say it'll go top 3. Playlisted on Radio One, which is rather early for them, and is getting a positive reaction.

I hated Biology on my first listen. Even to the point of wondering wether taking interest in Girls Aloud should be of any interest to me anymore. How wrong I was! I absolutely love it. For me it's right up their really good stuff. Nadine and Cheryls vocals once again work really well together. It's sublime.

On the album I want them to give Nicola a really fucking awesome ballad to sing. She's got the vocal talent as proved on Popstars: The Rivals although she did sound a little weak on "Say A Little Prayer" which was slightly worrying.

What a pleasingly bizarre record. They're at their best when that "genius vs arse" line is being most carefully tiptoed ("Love Machine", "No Good Advice") so it's a good one for me. Still wary on the album tho', they're chucking them out a wee bit too quickly.

Confirmed tracks recorded and should be on the album:

    Swinging London Town
    Racy Lacy
    Whole Lotta History

and according to a source that mentioned Whole Lotta History & Biology...there will also be a track called Singapore.

Indeed. But it will no doubt be the best song on the album. With a name like Racy Lacy. It's not going to be crap.

I just saw the video for 'Biology' and I think it's the first time I haven't thought "god that looked cheap" even though it undoubtedly is. To me they've finally managed to get the right look for a cheap video that stuff like 'The Show' and 'Love Machine' failed to do.

I think I'm more excited about this album than their last one because I really like 'Long Hot Summer' now and I'd rather have an album that isn't going to open with a clutch of ace singles and then tracks that I find harder to get into.

The 2 remixes of "Biology" in the gmail account are very good  The Lemazma Mix is a dancefloor hit and the Benitez Mix slows the track down (sounds like a bad idea but it works!). There remixes are very unreliable when it comes to quality. Either all the remixes suck (No Good Adivce) or all the remixes are good (The Show, Wake Me Up and Biology).

The Gravitas Club Mix of Wake Me Up was absolutely orgasmic. One of my favourite remixes ever.

What a DREADFUL cover. It makes it look like it's full of ballads and the ironic thing is it doesn't look like there's any chemistry between them at all. Just 4 models (plus ginger) in a photoshoot.

I don't like the cover either. It's very boring and they're good looking girls, they don't need to be airbrushed as much as that. Nadine and Cheryl (who usually look best) actually look the worse. Sarah looks good.

It's rather dull isn't it? None of their album covers have been that good, but you'd htink they'd go for something a little less serious. And like everyone else, I think it is FAR too airbrushed.

The ginge really doesn't fit in, I have to say.
