With Ukraine increasingly looking like a lost cause for Russia, I do worry that they'll turn their attentions to poor little Moldova.
Let's not forget that Ukraine's isn't a completely lost cause - no one seems to mention the annexation of Crimea any more
Ukraine is not a lost cause for Russia at all. The very reason that Russia continues to foment unrest in the East is to destabilise Ukraine's recovery, and eventually wear its people down into accepting a politician more obedient to Moscow. Whether this will work or not is debatable, but there are signs of frustration in Ukraine that little has changed since Maidan, and that it was all in vain.
