What does that even mean?
Meaningless rhetoric. Have him put down.
Is it written in English as we know it? Or is post fourth industrial revolution English of the internet of things?
I really fucking hate the internet of things.
Can we get a full list of industrial revolutions?
White heat of technology IT AIN'T!
I think it's just INTERNET FRIDGES and SHIT. But PLEASE, it's gonna happen anyway with or without the push of any politician!
I have to write about IoT quite a lot in my current job. It's got a lot of potential, but it's hardly going to get the working class regrexiters back on side.
Does anybody even care anymore? They've made their own bed and decided they're perfectly happy with that, with a bit of McDonnell-endorsed immigration baiting on the side so they can 'end up where the working class are on it'. Good fucking riddance when they get annihilated, tbh.
CORBYN'S DONE IT!!!!!!
Labour down to 25% (TWENTY FIVE PERCENT!) in latest YouGov poll.
Not even Miliband managed that.
Can you explain it in terms that the average voter will understand?
Basically it's using the internet to allow devices to communicate with each other wirelessly. So for example you could have an app on your phone by which you monitor and control all of the appliances in your house. It has a lot of potential to reduce energy wastage and household bills by, say, automatically detecting when a room has been empty for a while and switching the heating/air con off, or automating a huge amount of manufacturing processes in factories.
Nice and futuristic, but I can't understand why Labour think it's something the average person on the street is going to care about compared to issues like welfare, immigration, the NHS, human rights etc.
The IoT is a million miles away from being of any fucking use. Did you read about the guy with the IoT kettle that didn't work. 8 hours later he boiled water in a pan. Fucking useless.
My favourite was the IoT automatic pet feeders, where the servers went down and the company put out a statement asking people to "please feed your pets 'manually' " in the meantime
re: The Tatchell protest (how retro!) - what a wet affair. Despite almost having a Brown-esque microphone fail, Corbyn didn't come of it too badly.
While Peter Tatchell is roundly condemned for disrespecting Dear Leader, and has been on the receiving end of some outstanding homophobic comments for his actions (and even worse - labelled a ZIONIST of all things), Jeremy Corbyn's favourite newspaper The Morning Star describe what's currently happening in Aleppo as a liberation.
So Clive "The Future" Lewis has resigned from the shadow cabinet.
There have been some pleasing Corbyn rumours circulating this week.
They're just rumours. I don't see why he'd step down if there wasn't the slightest guarantee he could get a preferred successor onto the ballot paper.
"REAL FIGHT STARTS NOW"
DRAG HIM QUEEN etc
Nicola Queen of UK politics doing an on trend on point Trump parody against dirty old tramp Corbyn.
I'd vote for Nicola Sturgeon if I could
FUCK OFF JEREMY
As much as that tweet is on point, wee Nippy Sweetie is fucking insufferable.
Suedey ahead of the times AS EVER
Really though, it feels like there's been a huge shift in his perception since the election was called. How do we feel these days?
Extremist loser who cost most of us our EU citizenship.
I don't think it's a shift towards HIM but more of a shift AWAY from Terri.
Ain't that the truth. The accounts of how his office sabotaged the official Labour Remain campaign are quite something.
That and him calling for Article 50 to be triggered the day after the referendum suggests he hadn't changed his mind and wanted to leave (for honourable reasons obvs) all along.
May is RUBBISH. And people are twigging that she's rubbish.
Sadly not quick enough, though. I still can't see this anything other than a Tory landslide, despite what the polls may say...
Maybe if good people like most of you guys hadn't jumped on the ridiculous 'coup' bandwagon last summer then we'd be in a stronger position to fight the true evil now.
People aren't falling for the "Corbyn IRA" bullshit and they *have* picked up on the "dementia tax". The press are absolutely desperate to smear Corbyn and I'm assuming they'll have one last cracker up their sleevesfor next week.
The next week is going to be UNHINGED. BBC have already plastered some child care cost GAFFE on every blank space of their news site.
And yet the Tories admit their manifesto is uncosted. This, according to the media, is an improvement on stumbling over a figure.
The other thing that fucks me off is the way May is treating this election as a purely a matter of endorsing her. All this stuff about every vote for her strengthening her hand in Brexit negotiations etc. Who says it's gonna be you in there?
Care of the wonderful @excelpope
Of course it will be a Tory landslide. This will be written in the history books as the 'Brexit election'. Sad but true.
I agree - sadly.
I was surprised last time but that's because I live in a Green/Labour city and the majority of my social network links are with Labour supporters (not intentionally) so there's quite a lot of anti-Tory rhetoric - but social media makes it quite hard to gauge how that compares against the rest of the country.
This thread is a DISGRACE to most of Moopy.
