In my present ADDLED state I can't decide whether Judy's 'Mellow Loving' is a dramatic frenzied disco delight or just a load of sub-Brotherhood of Man castanet-clicking crap

    What do YOU think?

A Judy clip (love the HAIR Jude, shame about the PUNTERS):

    The whole EPIC:

Mellow Lovin is quite plainly glorious. I particularly enjoy the castanets.

I was leaning more toward the latter at first, but now I'm not sure

I only recently found out she had a bonafide DISCO PAST

I know her mid 90s handbag house records but I had no idea she went as far back as the 70s.

First album was in 1973, shockingly enough

I'm guessing that was more of a Philly soul pre-disco sound

It is always a favourite, but the last couple of weeks I can't get enough Mellow Lovin'. I've invested in what is apparently a Russian bootleg CD of the album and "The Official Judy Cheeks You Tube Channel" has handily uploaded the footage from seemingly every time she got a whiff of a local tv performance.
