New "personal, camp fires, Wild West" album incoming in February, single out on Friday.

He's uploaded a trailer that finally answers the question of what The Revenant would have been like if it was an Urban Outfitters commercial.

Not an album of Can’t Stop The Feeling’s then :(

I’ll hold out for the Trolls 2 soundtrack.

Why do people with no personalities insist on making personal albums?

There had better be an apology to Janet on there somewhere then.

I’m fairness, he’s a bit better at doing pretentious wanky pop than a lot of other singers. Even the last ridiculous album(s) had a few decent bops.

I just hoped he was going to do something a bit more straightforward this time.

What with this and Kylie, it seems like country-fused music will be the tropical house of 2018 :side-eye:

Well from the music snippets included, I'm not hearing much country. Just pop with guitars.

    Hope it's actually GOOD

I'm perched on the edge of my seat for an eight-minute R&B track with a guitar solo about a hill.

In fairness reading Filthy described as "dance-heavy" and produced by Danja made me a bit more interested. I just hope I remember to play it very loud.

Filthy is indeed by Timbaland and Danja, and the video has been described as so:

The colorful, futuristic music video for “Filthy” was directed by groundbreaking and multiple award-winning director Mark Romanek. The dance heavy video features Timberlake as a modern day inventor presenting his latest creation to the world. This is the second time Timberlake and Romanek have teamed up for a one-of-a-kind video.

From the sound clips within that video above I can say that I'm pretty interested. His last album left me uninterested, but I still have some faith in him.

    That looks DREADFUL

Mind you 20/20 was such a LOAD OF SHITE and don't get me started on "Can't Stop the Feeeling!" that A) I understand the need for an aesthetic change and B) it won't take much effort for this to improve upon it. But you never know.

It reminds me of one of those ropey “set in the near future” videos from the late ‘90s.

The song sounds like someone who’s gone into a mixing studio for the first time and just mashed all the buttons to see what they do.

Complete shite. Very noisy but barely a single hook or memorable melody to be heard. It's so... obnoxious. YOU WILL HAVE FUN LISTENING TO THIS!

I think it sounds quite decent. The video detracts a lot from the song and I think it may actually sound better without the visuals. I'm generally not all that interested in him but I did like the 20/20 albums so I'm curious about the new one.

This is like a Frankenstein song. Seems like someone stitched different songs together. I'm not very impressed. Some parts of it would've made a good song, but it was lost in the ambition of whoever put it together.

I can't be bothered with the video but based on first listen this morning, I thought the song was quite good. Can't Stop The Feeling is one of my most hated songs ever so the only way was up really.

It sounds like a 2018 cross between Freeek by George Michael and someone taking a shit, so I'll see which side wins out eventually.
