Can't Stop The Feeling is a song with hooks and an actual melody. That > this garbage

I think after a week or two when the hype is gone this will be dead on its arse. But the album will be huge anyway

This is much much better than Can't Stop the Feeling. The latter was annoying Happy-esque crap. Walking on Sunshine for the 00's.

I see the George Michael comparison. Yeah I think I really quite like it.

I thought "Freeek" when I first heard it as well. Clearly rather inspired by it, but ALL THE BETTER FOR IT, in my opinion...

The last minute with the cum noises and ravey breakdown at the end is really, really good.

Yeah, I immediately thought of Freeek as well. I like it quite a lot, except for the noisy bits.

By noisy do you mean the bits with REAL INSTRUMENTS or that breakdown towards the end? The latter is the best part of the song I think.

I wanted to do an adjective song rate. I could think of Filthy, Greedy, Dirrty, Clumsy, Happy, Lonely, Tipsy, Lucky ... any more in that OEUVRE?

Do they have to be adjectives ending with Y?

    For arbitrary Madisonesque reasons, YES.

Unless you’ve got a really good one

Actually they aren’t arbitrary reasons, I just don’t have much imagination

And I assume by that they have to be one word titles as well?

Oh Crazy is a can of worms isn’t it? I should just choose one or have a Crazy rate. Can’t be Britney if she’s having Lucky

Isn’t it weird that most of the Mickey Mouse Club and associated pop stars of their golden age have a song like that though?

I quite like this as a GROOVE PIECE. He's done better, but as previously noted also much worse.

It's funny how Freeek! still sounds more futuristic than this.

i think this is terrible...the beat sounds like a colonoscopy gone awry

it smacks of trying to reclaim past glories by way of chucking a load of money at the video...in the vein of janet/michael jackson’s single together

There might be great song in there but I can't really tell thanks to that revolting robotic sound that's played throughout the whole song. WTF Danja?

    NEXT SINGLE PLEASE!

oh I long for the days when Danja spat out hot shit like Man Eater and Gimme More, at least that one had a bit of a TUNE despite the main performer being off her head all throughout it. Props to Justin for being very engaged but at the same time he comes across cocky and arrogant and (still) probably thinks he's this generation's Michael Jackson.

Ugh, just listened to both songs for the first time. Can’t we replace him with a robot now? He think he’s so 2028, but he’s 2000-and-shit. (It’s a post-rhyming world now)

His choreo peaked with Bye Bye Bye as well. Don’t we have a Michael Jackson hologram that can do this better?

I wish it had been the Bro-Anne album after all, not post-truth, post-melody, post-good woke shit.

Though the middle bit of Supplies is alright I suppose.

How could he do this AND justify “Can’t stop the feeling”?

Well Filthy is currently flopping hard in the UK 15-28 so far. Although there's always a potential Brit Awards performance.

Both songs sound like classic Justin to me, but both underwhelming.

We need a new Cry Me a River/What Goes Around Comes Around/(Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You)/Mirrors.

Yes but unfortunately it just sounds all the worse when it goes back into whatever the rest of it is meant to be. I quite like Filthy but I'll pass on this one.

I'm not feeling either "Filthy" or "Supplies". He's trying way too hard, which is a shame as I really warmed to 20/20 (Part 1, anyway) in the end.

My first thought when listening to the album was that it’s essentially ‘Justified’ Pt. II

But that might be because ‘Breeze Off The Pond’ is a shameless ‘Rock Your Body’ rewrite.

I gave it a full spin yesterday and it wasn't pleasant. It's Pharrell and Timbaland/lake on autopilot coupled with some really mawkish country bollocks. And the lyrics are HORRIFIC.

As they say, happy people never make brilliant albums... so he must be HAPPY as fucking LARRY.

The slim pickings Justin album rank:

    1. 20/20 Part 1
    2. Futuresex/Lovesounds (though boy, does this go off a cliff in the second half - like most of his albums)
    3. 20/20 Part 2
    4. Justified
    5. Man On The Mountain Of The Woods
