I think we had one of those already
that’s the only explanation for the things I’ve had to listen to
only foreign instruments like French horns
OMG was it JaeJae?!!
Get her to do Mama or something for Spiceaoke
I hope the Asexual Goose wouldn't bring back bad memories for her
NO instrumentals, NO sign language, NO songs in English language dialects.
Will @Chlammy go the way of @Rita?
Just when we thought everything had eased up.
What's the maximum % of English words acceptable?
What about words which are also used in other languages? Like café?
I'm not going to get my spreadsheet out for every song but a couple of lines here and there are fine. A bit like the amount of 'Spanish' in Mi Chico Latino.
Anyway. I need to get back on form and let moopy hate my songs more. I think I have the perfect one.
Well that's a reference I'm not going to get.
I need a ruling on 'Auld Lang Syne'.
Did anyone really hate your previous "song"?
Never mind, I guess that was your point.
I’ve got a song I want to enter. It’s all in English and the writer is English too. But the performers are Wombles and they’re from all over. I trust that this is ok
DEAD at all these issues.
Mine were intentionally tongue in cheek.
I think as a forum we are predisposed to want to question, mock and push the rules. I love that about Moopy. It must make running a competition pretty tough though if you're not giving people free reign
Can I submit a song in English but sung by a person with such a terrible English that you wouldn't recognise the language?
ooh! *scrolls down Toni Braxton discography*
Oh god, she did a Spanish version of 2 of her biggest hits and you can't understand a single word! I mean, I know it's Spanish because it says so on the cd
Submitted but waiting for Kala to VALIDATE the language.
she also did English versions that sound like that too!
If you’re lucky, you might get an answer in two weeks. That is if he hasn’t cleared out his inbox in the meantime.
Can we use animals? @Kalabaliken
I think he has already cleared it out AGAIN.
FAN TA DIG! I've been replying to everyone pretty much straight away, bitch!
Only hamsters and other rodents.
She used the exact same recording for her French and German editions.
How were the Roxette Spanish recordings?
She had a very strong accent and the pronunciation could be a lot better, but that album sold really well here.
Just submitted my entry
NO CRAZY FROG.
What about Mr Oizo?
SHIT did we forget him in Dance Rate?
No lyrics though of course. Not sure if furry headbanging* counts as a foreign language.
* new euphemism for muff diving.
We did forget him
In fairness, I'd forgotten about that song altogether until The Crazy Frog jogged my memory for some reason.
