The Christmas album is called "Christmas is the time... to say I love you"

I still don't quite see how this will do anything for her, I mean, Susan Boyle and Mariah will completely overshadow everything else and I can't quite see Oprah backing this over either of them.

Meh, it's CUTE but could be a touch more classic and elegant like the Unbroken cover which is lovely

I don't particularly like the cover, it's boring, she looks quite pretty, but even then I think she looked better blonde.

Oddly there is now a video for Say Goodbye, featuring lots of scenes from a straight-do-DVD film called "I Am" which according to its website "is a movie that shows the heart of God for His people. I AM is the Biblical name of God, and the title character of a film in which God aids ten people in Los Angeles as they struggle with the effects of failing to follow the Ten Commandments in the modern day. It is most often described as a 'Faith-based Crash.'"

are they releasing the song proper now or is it just sort of a 'for the sake of the video' type of thing? Not releasing "Terrified" was foolish enough though

Her Christmas album is out soon too, weird

It's Not Christmas Without You is ALREADY a Christmas CLASSIC in my eyes.

It's such a shame that no one will ever hear it.

    The album is beautiful too.

I absolutely love her version of It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (which is a favourite of mine) and her interpretation of O Holy Night shows just how talented she is.

I love It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas too, it's quite probably my favourite Xmas song and she's done a stunning version of it. I reckon this'll be on high rotation come December (unless Malena's OPUS manages to outshine it, which is quite possible :().

OMG! :disco: ... Clearly, I am still catching up after my 5 months away from here I wonder what else I will find out here!

Oh and yes 'It's Not Christmas Without You' by McPhee is fantastic. I'm going to put that one on my Christmas CD spending spree when I get to the US in December.

So she's the star of a new Broadway-related NBC drama, "Smash".

It doesn't air until next year (they're pairing it with season 2 of The Voice) but Smash is predicted to be HUGE. She might finally get enough exposure to release a hit album!

Indeed this could be her LAUNCHING PAD, especially since the broadway/theatrical stuff is always what they praised her with on Idol.

Her team (isn't she just on an indie or really small label right now?) just doesn't seem to know how to CAPITALIZE on anything. "Terrified" got all that great exposure and attention on the last season of American Idol but did they bother sending it to radio or promoting it at all? No

This is going to be really big for her. Supposedly she's already started work on her next album and collaborators include Sia and Toby Gad :o

I'm so pleased for her - anyone who's in any way responsible for Say Goodbye deserves to be huge.

It could all go to shit still, but what a launchpad :disco:

    OH HI

I like the Smash trailer. It looks like Glee with a STORY ARC

I hope this is very big for her, just how she managed to secure another major record deal and this role is surprising (despite how talented she is). I guess it's third time lucky.

It's easily the best Christmas album of recent years (that I've listened to obviously). Her voice is so beautiful it makes anything sound good.

According to her Twitter she's working with Darkchild on the new album.

This is also the first time I'm hearing "Touch Me" - it's fantastic :disco:

And it's also put me in a McPhee 'related video' fog on YouTube, I needed a reminder of the ridiculous yet fabulous "Love Story" video *crawls across dinner table with bedroom eyes* :D

Thought the bump was album news related :(

But yes, never a bad time to re-visit one of the classiest, gorgeous albums of the last few years.

She's allegedly having an affair with a married father of three children - GET HEADLINES BITCH :disco:

That is quite surprising of her, assuming this is all what it looks like :(

The McPheever is back. New album Hysteria streaming in full here http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/6699693/katharine-mcphee-hysteria-album-exclusive

She's managed to BAG a Sia co-write and a Ryan Tedder one as well. Whether it comes close to the majesty of Touch Me remains to be seen.

Really, it sounds awful and the fact she's talking down her previous albums - especially the quite wonderful Unbroken - in favour of this is just strange.

Here's the weird crap single that's 2:35 long.
