I don't know if there is a MARKET FOR THIS

But I still reckon this is the best R&B/hip-hop album of the decade and contains about 70% of the Neptunes' best work

I remember getting this and listening to it with the black girls at school one lunchtime. We really thought she was going to be the NEXT BIG THING :(

Amazing album, although I can't quite give it a 10.

I think it's almost a brilliant album, just one or two fillers. The best track is 'Mafia', the best thing she's ever recorded imo.

Hate her. Couldn't believe how overrated this was. Fuck The Neptunes. And Caught Out There is a novelty song.

There are very few RnB/Hiphop albums which I go back to very often but this is definitely one of them. AMAZING. Good Stuff should have been a huge hit and Get Along With You still gives me chills. Yes it was a breakthrough for The Neptunes but it would be nothing in the hands of some nobody like Ashanti or Nivea. Kelis' vocal performances are completely perfect.

    Don't need these clothes
    Don't need this house
Don't need this LAND or skies...

Mafia really should have been a single. I imagine a video of her wearing lots of fur and bling.

    10 Good Stuff
    09 Caught Out There
    11 Get Along With You
    10 Mafia
    08 Game Show
    10 Suspended
    09 Mars
    06 Ghetto Children
    07 I Want Your Love
    07 No Turning Back
    09 Roller Rink
    07 In The Morning
    08 Wouldn't You Agree?

Good GOD that's an amazing brace of tracks in the first half... :o It trails off quite a bit post-Mars but still a solid nine.

I am quite ashamed to say as a big fan of later Kelis that I don't have this. The only single I really think anything of is Caught Out There but i really do have to be in the mood to be shouted at to enjoy that. I also randomly have Mafia and indeed it is a 10.

I fucking adore this one. Neptunes and Kelis at their best! But I agree with Loo and Lou, Caught Out There is rather annoying. In fact, when it first came out I thought it was by that cunt Macy Grey.

Good old Nivea. For whatever reason I used to love her back in the day. Especially her 2nd album featuring the craptastic Parking Lot "Meet me at the MCDONALD's parking lot"

VoR if you want those songs i'll provide!

I do love this rather a lot, but it really is an end-to-end album for me, I lose the flow so easily if I skip tracks, and there are a couple that need skipping.

And 'Get Along With You' is the best thing ever :(

Get Along With You easily pulls this album up a couple of notches, quality song. And the video is fantastic.

I found her GH for about 5 bucks here I think I shall invest. The only thing that pisses me off is the fact it only includes ONE song from Wanderland

I've been randomly hitting this album HARD over the past week.

I don't know if discovering Sweden just totally whited me out, but there was a brief moment in the early 00s when this, Southern Hummingbird and Who is Jill Scott were on pretty much constant rotation CHEZ VOR.

She's never topped this for me, though Tasty is also a very good album.

    10 Good Stuff
    09 Caught Out There
    09 Get Along with You
    10 Mafia
    09 Game Show
    10 Suspended
    09 Mars

    10 I Want Your Love
    10 No Turning Back
    11 Roller Rink
    09 In the Morning
    07 Wouldn't You Agree?

Kelis and the Neptunes together lit a match that would never be replicated, even by themselves.

When the focus goes disco, I'm in heaven. These are my choice cuts, but the album truly delivers on its title and offers much more whilst still under the rnb umbrella. Roller Rink remains unquenchable. No Turning Back is equally ripe. Funk was the memo, but we got everything from talkshow chair-throwing angst to game show couch-snuggling. It's still so vibrant, stark and juicy to this day. Good Stuff was like crack to me when I first heard it.
