a favourably reviewed BBC America production starring the wonderful Sandra Oh in her first lead. she plays an MI5 officer on the hunt for a sultry Russian-turned-Parisienne international assassin. the slightly OTT setup is acknowledged in wonderfully camp kills and a thin layer of comic relief and I for one thinks the genre cross is well executed. two episodes in, airs weekly on HBO

This is written by Phoebe Waller Bridge so it must be good and I love Sandra Oh doing something other than Grey's. I'll check it out once a few more episodes have aired.

Also featuring the other woman from Doctor Foster. Looking forward to this, it is going to be on BBC1 at some point.

Well that was quite iconic, right from the opening scene, and it just flew by.

Oh and :D at 'Does anyone in the department speak HEROIN POLISH?'

OBSESSED. Sandra Oh. Sandra OH WOW!
Normally I am not too keen on Jodie Thing but what a fabulous cunt she is in this.

I’ve actually been scowling at clients all morning and pointing out how I’m losing out on valuable Killing Eve time on them.

Just watched the first episode of this and WOW. The trailer for episode 2 looks just as good. Hooked.

I watched the first episode last night and loved it. Queen Sandra is giving so much understated life
I wanted to do that but with a 5:30a.m. start I had to DISCIPLINE myself. :disco:

Is this the best thing on tv right now? I’m on episode 4 and it’s wall to wall brilliance

    Both leads sensational.

This started with a bang but went out with a whimper for me. The first couple of episodes are VERTIGINOUS and the show does well subverting certain tropes, but it quickly starts falling into SILLY CLICHÉS of the spy genre and they totally pull the rug from under you in the last episode so they can carry on stretching an already incredulous plot into god knows how many other series. I'm OUT.

Both leads were fantastic in completely different ways though and well done BBC production for making it look amazing (all those location shots :disco: ) on a reasonably small budget.

This was sensational; surely Jodie Comer’s defining role?

I’m slightly irked that The Bodyguard overshadowed its UK airing.

This peaked at episode 6 for me. The ending was a massive let-down for being ridiculous. The tone of the programme seemed to float around and never really landed. A 7/10 but I won’t bother with the next series.

Oh and what irked me more than anything was the BBC putting ‘Next Week...’ clips at the end of the episode. All suspense GONE!

Yes, I hate next week previews - I always switch off as soon as they appear.

    All of this.

Great performances, but it really was great for the first 5-6 episodes... the last 2 were actually quite a chore.

Here to echo the last few posts as well. It was all very gripping in the beginning, I actually binged the whole thing in two days. But that ending was just ridiculous.
