I don't know too much about this girl (other than she recently got in trouble for sort-of defending Dr Luke), but this is extremely hot shit:

In fact I'd be tempted to label it a bop, if I was one of those!

I don't know much about her either except she's chums with Charli XCX and showed up on "Pop 2"

Heart to Break is fantastic. Hillside Boys is also good:

Oh yeah, I heard about her a while ago - she's German. She's also transgender. :disco:

    I adore her.

The whole working with Dr Luke and saying she thinks he's a lovely guy is a bit off, but I DON'T KNOW HIM, so who am I to judge? And a bop's a bop. Sorry Kesha :(

"Heart to Break" is very good. Is this going to be the first worldwide transgender smash?

I hope if it becomes a hit the media don't run with the transgender story. It's so irrelevant.

I initially tried to resist when "I Don't Want It At All" came out last year despite secretly bopping to it. Then the triple threat of "Hillside Boys", "Faded" and "Unlock It" came and by the time "Heart to Break" smashed I was a fully fledged stan. Supporting Dr Luke's music is obviously questionable but he produces prime pop music and its no coincidence Katy's last album was a total dud without him.

She's tried to brush the Dr Luke connection under the carpet so far despite it continually rearing it's head. She completely fucked up with this quote in a interview a few months back
Which the gayz basically translated as her calling Kesha a liar.

which has now been highlighted even more since she was announced as the support for the upcoming Troye Sivan tour which cause gay uproar on twitter and forced both Kim and Troye to issue apologies

She is due to release another Dr Luke produced track called "Cant Do Better" on Friday but I assume things are bit up in the air now...

ott: Dr. Luke has sued Kesha so he remains a CUNT

ON TOPIC: Heart To Break and Hillside Boys are VERY GOOD though! finally someone has the erm, (HAD) the balls to release some proper music with a PULSE.
Fuck you Selena, Anne Marie and Rita (post-Anywhere)

this is a bit extra, Pips. she's a woman. can we just let her be female without constantly makings trans references?

but you are right of course that Heart to Break is an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE of the declining SHINY BUBBLEGUM POP genre :disco:

It'll take a lot to top Heart to Break. I'd say Can't Do Better comes closest so far.

I've lost my shit many a time to that live touched up version of "It's Your Life"... I''m not fully SOLD on this "101" rework just yet but at least we may potentially be getting it in HQ

I've only just come to terms with the lyric not being "gay people like you love people like me" :D

Kim is releasing a HALLOWEEN EP today/tomorrow which no one really asked for :(

It features 8 new songs, 4 of which are instrumentals and all produced by Dr Luke again. "Tell Me It's A Nightmare" seems to be the best out of the lot

My favourites are Turn Off the Light (featuring ELVIRA :disco:) and In the Next Life - also TRANSylvania is quite astonishing, but since it's an instrumental I'd feel a bit odd putting it next to the others.

In The Next Life is definitely the best of the full length tracks. That German verse is :disco:

The EP is fantastic. Give the gays what they want (for one month only).

The instrumentals are very JUSTICE/late-noughties pop.

what old video game does the OOH OOH OOOOHs in The Next Life remind me of? it's a side scroller, possibly a boy with a cap and a slingshot?

she sounds quite Katy Perry (worryingly) in some songs of the HAlloween-esque EP, surely its Dr. Luke's fault.
Turn Off The Lights is very good.

New single with Cheat Codes out FRIDAY. The cover art is :disco:

Really hope she doesn't lose her identity in chasing for a hit that she clearly wants - The Little Mix collab being a shameless generic rip off has me WORRIED

New music coming Feb 7th... Confirmed to be a SOPHIE collab "and more".

Signs point towards "We Don't Stop" rather than "It's Your Life" though @OutSynk :(

Apparently “Reason Why” (“It’s Your Life”) is now a BC Kingdom track. We’ll probably never get it.

The SOPHIE song 1,2,3 Dayz Up (formerly We Don't Stop) is pretty good. The other, If U Think About Me, is potentially up there with her best on first listen, some nice 80s touches. Both a touch more electro/robopop than her other stuff, very Charli XCX.

We Don't Stop (as it shall forever be known to me) is the winner of the bunch for me! The new verses and middle eight are everything :disco: and just further reaffirms that we need the finished version of It's Your Life

Homework has been ruined by the production - they should have kept it stripped back. I need some more time with If U Think About Me - she's overdone the "woo-ahs", the lyric feels clunky and that void where the middle eight is meant to be is NOT ON!

sounds like a sub-par charli xcx track to these ears.
