Let's be REAL, any chance of a critically and commercially successful Madonna comeback are OFF THE BOOKS after this HOT FAUX GERMAN SCHEIßE.

It's Erotica '11 with a peppering of 'Rhythm of the Night'.

    I.E LIFE ITSELF

Just finishing my first listen through and what an EPIC album. It does go through a bit of a lull after Bloody Mary before closing on TEOG.

Having Hair, Scheiße and Bloody Mary in a row is just an amazing run in the middle and definitely the ones that really stood out for me.

This is truly an album of MOMENTOUS PROPORTIONS. I can't get enough of any of it. From not giving a FIG about replaying the title track and Judas after the first time or two, HOW did it come to this?

Oh thank FUCK Gaga. A delivery and THEN SOME. I just want to waltz down the street doing some strange Spanish style dance to Americano and making sure the world hears it and EVERYTHING ELSE on here. All the previous concern has evaporated in a GAY FIZZLE

I've not heard of Give It 2 Me. I thought Madonna was that old woman who had some hits in, like, the eighties or something?

I wanted to listen to this album SO HARD during my class this morning, literally going through withdrawals :disco:

Now that this opus has been with us for a day all I can do is just re-iterate how REFRESHING so much of it sounds. The Fame Monster is still her best album for me (as of right now anyway) but the SOUND on this album is just a great change in pace from before and there's really NOTHING LIKE IT on pop radio right now.

Scheiße as a song title. This alone is incredible. She really must love German and Rilke :)

The dum-dum-da-da-da's in "Bloody Marry" reminds me of "Heart of Glass" :disco:

Even though I don't like "Teeth" too much it sort of feels like that and "So Happy I Could Die" (which is of course GOD LIKE) were the natural predecessors to this, ending the last era on a tad more experimental note, and with Born This Way many songs sound like an extension of those except on a much bigger level. They feel like the only two songs from her past that could fit in with this lot!

Well after my first listen i'm not really on board, i just see her as a pretentious cunt and can't get into the songs.

Also is the different accent a running theme now? if so i can't wait for her cover of "les poissons" from The Little Mermaid or maybe a cover of Faloola's "Gritter".
