Queen of not giving us what we want. She announced the four to six month delay of Chemtrails and is giving us a covers album on Christmas day instead. Here is the first track "Summertime" premiered a few minutes ago.
Quite possibly! To be fair, the jazz genre suits her quite well... it's just not my cup of tea AT ALL. Hopefully there is some variety in her choices on the album.
I’m not averse to the prospect of a covers album and obviously she’s going for maximum perversity by including Summertime on an album which is coming out ON CHRISTMAS
Maybe she could appeal to that all important POLISH MARKET with a nice beatsy cover of this uplifting classic
‘Day Trip To Bangor’ would be nice, given that selfish Geru hasn’t seen fit to grant us that folk album which she never promised in the first place Slow it right down and give it the vibe of being stabbed by a very bad man whilst in the queue for a pasty
Can’t say I’m too enthralled with that notion although as long as she keeps away from the dreaded ANOHNI AKA Foghorn Fanny
I am SO confused about her release schedule no idea what's going. Also, imagine sampling a song and then releasing it again as a straight up cover. Has she run out of ideas?
I'm totally here for an album of standards. It's probably quite wise to pivot to TORCH SONGS and JAZZ NUMBERS now the youths despise her.
It definitely appeals to me. I really enjoyed George Michael's Songs Of The Last Century and I'm sure it's going to be along those lines.
Makes me think she's also going to cover "Space Oddity" after she already incorporated it into "Terrance Loves You", which I would actually be QUITE INTO...
Well. The most interesting thing to me is that she's using her voice in a way that she hasn't really since the Born To Die era. It's a nice cover but I can't see myself listening to a standards album from her very often
