I thought it was fun in an inaccessible show about a property I love from a creator I love kinda way.

Finally, an X-Men TV show. It's shows like this that has made cinema almost obsolete for me. The pilot felt like such a good setup for the rest of the season. And after an hour of squinting I finally realized that it's Cousin Matthew from Downton Abbey.

It was nice to look at but I found it a little hard work. I'll give it another go this week.

I thought episode two was much better, a bit more linear and easier to follow.

I've still not started this, but I'm hearing good things. Are any other X-comic characters making appearances in it yet?

No, but there are some unnamed "mutants" being introduced already (they don't use the word)

I wouldn't expect any named X-Men from the comics any time soon. It feels like they want to avoid make this show comic book-y.

Will I like this if I loved Fargo but have absolutely zero interest in X-Men or any other comics*?

    * although I did love Preacher** as well

** the TV series not the comic

I think it's similar to the more out there bits of Fargo season 2.

Well there are theories that the monster with yellow eyes is an x-men villain.

    Anyone still watching?

The latest episode was great, I don't understand a lot but those final 10 minutes were thrilling. Aubrey Plaza is great.

Aubrey Plaza coming out of the mirror was amazing.

I literally have no fucking clue what is going on in this show. But then I haven't the foggiest when reading anything about Legion.

    Is that the SHADOW KING?

The first episode is the weirdest and there's still very little 'Marvel' about the whole thing so it better pick up soon.

Same. But I am finding it strangely watchable.

I think the most confusing thing to me in the most recent episode was this fucking jumper.

So the second season has finished and it jumped the shark for me. Some stunning visuals but it seems like they didn't have a clue what actually worked in the first season. I'm also disappointed that there wasn't as much Inception-esque travelling into memories which was the highlight of the first season for me.

Yeah it still has moments of beautiful weirdness, but what actually *happened* this season?

It really just felt like it was being wilfully obtuse and spinning its wheels with unnecessary side-character episodes.

I got through the first season, but really couldn't be bothered with the second. One of those things I could appreciate was very good more than I actually enjoyed.
