Not sure if it fits under Italo House, but I just picked up Cappella - House Energy Music/ Helyom Halib on 12", which is so 1989.

So I spent part of my shift on Sunday trying to work out, who my supervisors primary school teacher was and after at least 25 minutes of Googling realised it was this Italo-disco RUBBISH:

I do love this JOY from Tom Hooker aka the voice of Den Harrow. Featuring Sinitta and her MADAM forcing two virgin teens into prostitution. :disco:

Open up the gateway door riding beyond a strange new world :disco:

*weeps uncontrollably every time that key change or whatever it is that happens after the first chorus turns up*

Back on YouTube again, still looking like a sack of potatoes with anal warts :disco:

Quite honestly I think this might be my favourite Italo ever, not least because (a) it's the epitome of DEPRESSION DISCO and (b) I really cannot even begin to comprehend the mind of anyone who sat down to write it and thought OH WOW BEST THING EVER. not to mention FLAT DORA bringing the SHITTY VOX :disco:

I do love 'Your Mind' - both Angie's seminal version and the Patsy Baret MASSACRE.

I've never seen our Ang' in the flesh before. Was she a known DOM LEZ? The open legged stance, clenched fist and awkward mic grip are a dead give away.

I love this one so much. I first heard it in the bedroom of someone who didn't fancy me, as per, and probably had trouble not weeping at the melancholy joy of it all, not to mention the lack of unconditional love on offer. Someone bitter and funless on Discogs (where I bought it for some inexplicable amount during my binge last year) claims that it "badly rips off" 'Distant Planet' but they can GO SWING

HIP HIP HOORAY FOR SHEILA :disco:

I'm not sure this is DISCO as such (although it was #1 on the Capital Gay chart for a while about 400 years ago :disco:) but it's certainly ITALO and is as STIRRING AS FUCK

I see those bitter Nicolosis have been all over YouTube AGAIN and there's no 'Let It Show' by the Nico Band (or 'Distant Planet'). Talk about a GAY HATE CRIME

Pasta yourselves to death and FUCK OFF

I was born in a small place
Here the toys are all talking
And if you run through the green field
Maybe you can find all what you need
    Memories are far from here
Time has gone over my time
But I am with my dreams
    Time has gone over me

CHRIST! The things you find on YouTube. I can't decide whether this is AMAZING or DIABOLICAL. Or both! @Shirley? @Zu-Klara?

I think she went on to present on GMTV!

    I live romantic dreams
How over the time that you stay by me
    Dark reminds me when
Was living alone in those lonely nights

    WHAT NONSENSE. :disco:
