Remember VoR doesn't have a clue...he doesn't even rate the Haus of Gaga. He gas no right making these ridiculous comments. Remedy is genius...and where he gets the idea that it's even vaguely like an AATW track I will never know...

I know I'm a bit late to this album, but I really do like it!

She'll perform at the end of the show so tune in just before 11.30pm and I'd assume she will be performing Remedy.

No presence, no voice, nothing really.

She reminds me of early Kylie.

Such a shame. I don't think this performance will convince anyone to buy the album. If I didn't already know the song is brilliant I wouldn't be impressed at all.

I don't really see the problem with that performance at all! The vocal is fine, certainly better than some.
She could have done with moving around a bit but that's all...

She's actually AMAZING, but it really doesn't translate half as well on TV.

I thought the Jonathan Ross performance was much improved compared to the Jools one. She does appear to have issues with removing and returning the microphone to the stand. Try not to clock yourself in the face with it mid-chorus Boots.

I love the 'da, da, da...and when the music fades away...' part of Remedy, though it doesn't come off that well live.

It would be nice to see the video now. I need to be reassured that they haven't completely fucked it up this time.

So after my initial disappointment I am slowly coming round to the album now I must admit, it is definitely a grower. My original comments about the tracklist and the laziness of the album STILL STAND however.

I have even come round to quite liking Tune Into My Heart now, and I remember on first listen I thought it was one of the worst songs I have ever heard. The lyrics are still quite retarded however, its a bit as if she was trying to bottle what made Mathematics so good lyric wise and failed quite a bit.

I still am not 100% with Remedy as I just don't think its that good (I particularly dislike the opening lyric of "I can see you stalking like a predator" UGH), however I think live performances like the JR one are definitely good as it differentiates her from other people around - particularly as Remedy is so GaGa. Having the Tendori and the keyboards definitely make her seem a bit more musically viable and less "pop" which may help get album buyers onside.

I hope the video is good. She just needs a load of glitter and unicorns and wolves and prisms and shit and then maybe her confused image will start to make sense.

But Boots song is closer to the cheesy dance cover from 2005.

Yes, it does set her apart. I really liked the way she was set up for this performance. Her backing singers look quite fabulous too.

I didn't realise that Basement Jaxx had done a live lounge cover of New In Town:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZsmBSwTkGRg&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZsmBSwTkGRg&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

    Not bad.

So 3rd August for Remedy's release. It has now overtaken New In Town on iTunes (I have it at 58 at the moment). Video this week then?

I thought there was something a bit lacking in the Remedy JR performance. But I'm wondering if it's because I just can't but help compare her to GaGa disco strutting about the stage, and all Boots does is wave one arm about a bit.

That said, I remember being mesmerised by her when she did 'Meddle' on Jools Holland a few months back, so I think she has got it. Just that 'Remedy' is a bit of a pop stomper and I think there are quite a few performers out there who would perform it better.

I was pleasantly surprised by her at Glastonbury. Thought she really worked the crowd well; everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. "Remedy" went down a storm actually :o Top 50 on iTunes now.

I really am enjoying the whole album, for me 'New in town' is one of the weaker songs! Strange first single choice!

Sorry to compare her to La Roux again, but although i find La Roux more exciting and with bigger highlights on the La Roux album, i much prefer Hands. I can listen to it all the way through, whereas with La Roux i just find myself repeating Tigerlily and the rest of the first half.

And I love remedy (especially the opening :shy:)

    Japan-only bonus track, Catch 22:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/H750-eBdvLw&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/H750-eBdvLw&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

On first listen it is quite good. Not up there with Not Now, but pleasing enough. I am not sure if the production might be a bit distracting, but I do like the noise right at the end and 'Positive and negative can only attract' is such a Little Boots line.
