That horrific exit poll has put me off before it has even began.
I do find it ever so slightly hysterical that after all the posturing the SNP could have almost every seat in they campaigned for but left with absolutely no influence in government.
I remember when it was announced it was Ed instead of David and apparently Cameron reacted by punching the air. That killed me.
Yeah, but I hadn't anticipated they'd GAIN seats.
DUP in government is just an appalling prospect.
Holy fucking arseholes. Time to start drinking HEAVILY
If the results follow through, at least I'll get to bed reasonably early. A few hours sleep gained for five years of misery [/melodrama]
I thought I'd turned over to Masterchef by accident upon hearing Paddy Ashdown promising to eat his hat if the Lib Dems only pick up 10 seats.
Charles Kennedy, Danny Alexander and Douglas Alexander are out based on the exit poll.
Do we have any more seat specific info?
Has Harriet been smoking crack?
Would somebody get Harriet Harman off the TV right now
I don't think so. I don't think they normally break it down.
There's also a YouGov exit poll out which is rather better for Lab & LibDems:
CON 284 MPs, LAB 263, LIBS 31, SNP 48, UKIP 2, PLAID 3, GREEN 1
And to think just an hour ago I'd be hoping THIS would be a good outcome...
I have a VoR at Eurovision gut feeling that the BBC poll is more likely.
Hopefully this is more accurate than the exit poll. YouGov were the only ones to correctly predict the Scottish referendum results.
Seriously that Farage better not end up my MP apparently he's been out and about in that fucking coat drinking beer and schmoozing.
All the individual seat polling says that Labour are marginally gaining, which doesn't apply to the Exit Poll at all.
WHY haven't you assassinated him with a poison dart hidden in one of your Sobranies??
It does. They're predicting them to lose 40ish Scottish seats and gain 20ish elsewhere on small swings.
They're seriously doubting the exit poll now. We literally know LESS than we did before.
I don't have a lot of confidence in this exit poll - it's a complete shock result if true. I haven't seen anything indicating Tories over 310 was anything other than remote.
Please fuck off tonight.
My theory is that the BBC exit poll is only a provisional one and captures the earlier votes, but that it hasn't taken into account a later Labour swingback. So I reckon the situation will improve for Labour later on.
You can get odds of 2.00 for the Lib Dems to have 16 seats or over, or 1.73 to have 15 seats or under.
Is this a real exit poll? Peter Kellner didn't refer to it.
Quite a bit of bickering on BBC1 Scotland now - I really wouldn't want to spill Ruth Davidson's pint down at Katie's Bar.
Why is he even back?
Could That One explain whether the stroke could have affected the flaccidity of Andrew Marr's ear? Very lopsided tonight.
David Mitchell is slightly brightening my evening.
Watching Paxman be funny is simultaneously cringey, empowering and bewildering. (I hope someone's checked on Penny stay strong hun)
Ed Balls had a majority of just over 1,000, there are rumours that the Tories might have won Morley & Outwood.
THAT would be this election's Portillo moment.
An ironic Tony Blair avatar? How tasteless.
I love Romesh too <3
There's been an incident of attempted electoral fraud in Glasgow East!! It wasn't me, I swear
Is everyone watching the Channel 4 stuff? Its kind of hideous right now.
It's quite shit.
I'm watching it til the results start coming in at least. Are they going to be doing them live like the BBC?
C4 is grim. I want serious for election night, not comedy.
