I think I should stand for London Mayor next time.
Poor old Nigel Faragé
You're too small. People will think you're sitting.
More on the news that UKIP's candidate for Mayor of London, Lawrence Webb, was mistakenly listed on the ballot paper as Fresh Choice for London. It should have read "UKIP: A Fresh Choice for London". According to a New Statesman blog, a "furious" Nigel Farage has admitted that the fault was at UKIP's end - they forgot to put their party name on the nomination paper.
Bwa ha ha
Boris Johnson appears to be slaughtering Ken. Although I can't be sure. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-17961960
I am still pathetically holding out some hope that Ken might sneak it on the second preferences
Apparently it's not IN THE BAG QUITE YET.
Green second preferences will go to Ken SURELY. And HOPEFULLY Benita as well as she is basically New Labour. Lib Dem could go either way I guess...
There's only 3% between them at the moment, and early word is that if it goes to second preference it will narrow even further, so it's not as certain that Boris will win it as much as it was this morning (at least according to a speaker just now on Sky News).
It's going to go round down to the wire I think
I could do without a recount
I wouldn't get your hopes up.
It's likely to be much closer than we all thought, but the betting markets still have boris at 1.15, Ken at 9.0.
Four constituencies left to declare now. ALMOST certainly a Boris win. Results expected in about half an hour.
No chance Ken can "do a COB"?
He's likely to pass the 50% threshold, so probably not.
Three left to go...
COME ON BRENT & HARROW you're holding everyone up :Oi:
According to 11 out 14 declaration show the Green Party in third place...
COME ON BENITA
Hope it goes to second preference votes as that seems the fairer method...?
I was wrong, I think it actually might come down to second preference!
COME ON SIOBHAN!
For WHOM has BRENT & HARROW voted in the past...?
From The Guardian blog...
how do you MISPLACE ballot boxes when your only job is to COUNT BALLOTS?
I wonder if Ken slipped a couple of boxes in
According to the BBC there are 'technical problems' :|
It's now 2 and a half hours late
They forgot to scan one or two boxes...
Ken's not gonna win anyway, all the polls have predicted Boris. They always know ahead of time.
At the moment it's:
Boris Johnson: 913,154
Ken Livingstone: 822,835
Jenny Jones: 94,183
Brian Paddick: 85,964
The journos are starting to get quite pissed off, they want to go home after hours and hours of election coverage!
I know, it's so funny to read them being like... 'EURGH FFS!' between the lines everywhere.
On BBC News 24 they're ACTIVELY complaining!
Are they? I haven't got a TV.
LOL. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL!
I know the numbers are small but as a Green voter I'm genuinely excited that they seem to be gaining a bit of the liberal vote...
Boris and Ken must be wanking FURIOUSLY to relieve some of this tension
Brent and Harrow has returned Labour's Navin Shah as its London Assembly member.
I take it they've already made a NOTE of second preference votes, so they don't have to count them all again - it seems it would be the sort of thing they'd forget to do in Brent and Harrow!
What's happened? Are we recounting? We must be so CLOSE! *horny*
COME ON SIOBHAN!
*vote big ron*
Brent and Harrow has decided to go for a cup of tea and will get back to you shortly
